Chinese Type 96 fails to impress in 2014 Tank Biathlon World Championship

it could be true and or it could be China might be hiding but China beign in no8 seems weird

This is a tank promotion event for russia, and we just give them some face. We don't need to approve ourself in this kind of event.

What about competitions where Chinese military teams win? Do you need to "approve yourself" in those kind of events? :cheesy:

Is this kind of real competition? all are russian-made tanks except China's, which tell everything about the purpose of the competition. Russian even cheated you guys by upgrading their T-72 alone. And all evaluation criteria are also favor this russian model.

It doesn't matter, but you guys can't have it both ways. When China wins, hurr durr PLA best, when China doesn't win, we didn't send our best, we don't care for such competitions, and all sorts of excuses.

ok then, russia's tank wins no matter who is champion. That is why I called it russia tank promotion event.

Then why are you there to participate?
Actually you should have understood when Russia allowed you to bring your own tank (which privilege was not extended to the other participants). In case of the other participants; its only their crews competing with each other, including the Russian crew.

While in your case; it looks as if it is your crew and your tank that is participating against the other crews and tanks.

Probably to measure others capabilities

Yup. For some; it will be a "look and learn" opportunity.......having been isolated from the world for so long.

we are there to do russia a favor. We are the only one willing to participate with our own tank. Russia did invite west and they donn't come.

If we don't join, this competition would become all russia T-72 vesus russia team's upgraded T-72, hilarious.

Just nothing hilarious about it....... simply the use of T-72 tanks was to make a "level playing field" for all the teams. If you can understand what that means?

Now since the Chinese Team was unable to operate the T-72s OR insisted on bringing their own tanks; they were allowed to bring the Type-96 tank.

But that now changes the whole appearance. What can be seen is Chinese Team and a Chinese Tank competing against some other International Teams all using the same T-72 Tanks which happen to be Russian. And the results will be seen in a similar light.

Now it makes no sense "to cry and crib" about the rules after having been a party to it earlier already..........

don't imagin so far as to cry and crib, I only said we don't care much about the results.

In fact, we are the only team hit all the targets without missing in shooting test speak enough for ourself, we don't expect more.

None of your arguments make any sense yet.

If you do not care about the results; then you were foolish to participate and waste your time.
Or: is your "non-caring Act" simply an after-thought?

This "shooting test result" is not the only thing. Check out what "Biathlon" means! It requires participants to carry out many tasks while retaining mobility.

So: A Tank that has lost its track is simply an "immobile object".........thus defeating the basic requirement of the Biathlon.

Just quit whining and see the whole competition through now; since yo have willingly chosen to become part of it.
Did the Russians hold a gun to your head and make you participate?

are you stupid in understanding? I already said our participation is out of doing a favor to russia, otherwise the title would become russia T-72 competition.

Just like we do a favor to them by suddenly signing huge gas contract after they got sanction from west, which we negotiated even 20 years before without result. Does that mean russia point a gun to us for signning contract?
