The government can introduce whatever measures it wants in its own country, since they have sole authority over the country they rule. so I see nothing wrong in this action looking at it from this angle.
China doesn't discriminate between Muslims/mosques and Christians/Churches. They crack down on any institution or religion who they think can challenge the governments authority, reason they demand all these religions to be under the state itself and sanctioned/regulated and supervised by the state. They want the state to have authority over the Church/Mosque/temple etc. Its their country and their policy. If Muslims. Christians are not happy with this they can always leave the country for somewhere they think is better for them. Their choice. So I don't see why people should be picking on China for this. Its the country's law and the people have to respect them whether they like it or not.
