Actually it fits Chinese sentiments fairly well. Chinese like others to return the respect when they respect the others. So, because Chinese navy doesn't visit Hawaii (US backyard), Chinese naturally expect American navy not to visit their backyard. Mutual territorial respect. When Americans say "we welcome it", it also implies that Chinese should welcome American navy to their backyard. Of course, Chinese aren't happy about it.That's your media said it, Not Chinese media.
They said, they will repeat that again and it will become a new normal.
If they are not happy, why they want that become a new normal. Your logic is so ridiculous
With the rapid development of the PLA Navy, large Chinese warships will sail farther in the Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean and the Atlantic, experts said.

You wouldnt find that becos we are conducting freedom of navigation. There is no reason for US to stop us. As long as our aircraft carrier stay 20miles away from LA coast. It legal according to international law. Unless u want to start WWIII.That's fine. Although now instead of finding Chinese border fence jumpers half-dead in our deserts we'll be finding half-dead boat jumpers on our beaches.
conducting freedom
LOL!
