Chinese jets in `unsafe` intercept of US spy plane

.
A present for Xi in US,a ha ?

Guess so. Just new rules implemented where they make safe encounters instead of dangerous encounters.

Lucky? The plane landed in Hainan island and we have a good look of everything inside a US best spy plane that time.
The Chinese pilot who body never found is just a hoax. He is having a good lifetime retirement under new identity for helping China intelligent unit to gain access to US best spy system.

Lose lose case for USA and win win situation for China. :D

Yeah it was luck based on the crashing of the Chinese pilot that almost got the crew killed. He died they lived. And not sure how a pilot living under a new identity helps your intelligence units gain access to the best spy system. Actually I'm surprised they haven't sacrificed more pilots since then even with American recon planes still patrolling nearby after all those years. Still with no escort either.

Yellow Sea, which specific place,
Please posted the news, say clearly next time ,

The ops smash procedure was not carry out and China managed to get hold and get a good look at all the intelligent unit system onboard EP-3. Wondering why the China pilot body never found? If he is not dead, sure US wants to raise issue over his act. But with a claimed death pilot. China has a clause to prevent US from further pursuit the matters. :D

The aircraft China can have. But if you think China got the 'good stuff', you are delusional.

These aircrews have procedures on just about everything, including possible landing in hostile territories. The damages that aircraft received were not immediately catastrophic and if the pilots were able to land it in Hainan without crashing on landing, it meant they flew the aircraft long enough to allow the recon crew to destroy all the most vital data and probably even components that China could have used.

Yeah, sure...

It must really be so embarrassing that you guys have to resort to this fantasy.

So Wang Wei's death is all propaganda?
Actually, Wang Wei survived. We learned some lessons from the MIG-25 Viktor Belenko incident.

Wang Wei was picked up by a US sub and he asked for political asylum. He gave US so much 'goodies' about the PLAAF in particular, and the PLA in general, that it is we who created the story that he died in the collision to protect him.

The 24 crew members (21 men and 3 women)[26] were detained until April 11, shortly after the U.S. issued the "letter of the two sorries" to the Chinese. The Chinese military boarded the EP-3 and thoroughly stripped and examined the aircraft's equipment. Reliable sources have speculated that the crew were only partially successful in their destruction of the on-board data and technology, although no official information has been released.

Hainan Island incident - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Finally, at sea 70miles near Hainan island has a better chance of Chinese pilot found by US or by the PLAN ships. You fantasy is so silly of US hijack the Chinese pilot that its not even funny. Plus, how does an ordinary Chinese pilot intelligent asset compare to a whole plane of ELINT crew value?

We swapped an old obsoleted J-8II with an advance ELINT EP-3. If its a jackpot deal, it will payout million of times for the Chinese.

Not as big a fantasy as American 'stealth' planes are untouchable

China lost a pilot but got the technology of the US aircraft. But now that China can hack the US and take all the blueprints and knowhow, no need to sacrifice more pilots.

China's major weakness is not money, its technology. China should use all methods necessary to catchup technologically either through innovating, buying, or hacking. No one cares about how you got the technology, the bottomline is that China has that technology and can use it to increase China's national strength and thus advance China's geopolitical interests.

Since the NSA is so busy trying to hack us, we must strike back and hard. Apparently it's working since Obama is getting pissed at our hacking ability thus telling us to stop

Sure if you said so to cover up that China can't crash into our planes anymore for some reason.

It seems this time the Chinese pilots are slightly better trained because there have been collisions. Now, if the our plane start maneuvering, that might pose serious problems for the Chinese pilots.
