Imagine if a city equipped with this giant umbrella. Maybe it won't protect the whole town, but only her trade center or other area. Then people can even walk and do shopping without even care to use an umbrella even in rainy day. No activity will be hindered just because of the rain. It can also help you with your outdoor events. Like live music concerts, sport match, outdoor wedding parties, etc. The rain won't disturb your plan anymore, as long as you build a giant umbrella with this technology.

Of course, the small version that we have seen in this thread won't do anything good. But once they enlarge it to cover a whole park, it will be different. Be creative guys, and think different.
