People tend to forget without the US, all korea would be under commie rule. US intervention destroyed the commie dream of united korea under despotics rulers and if the commie succeed in 1950, we wouldn't have these

Don't forget that this "winning" army finally agree to cede 3900 sq km of territory to the supposedly defeated south.

Without China's market, South Korea wouldn't be so successful in economy. Remember how pathetic SK was in 1997? SK got recovered from the financial crisis because it made enough profit in China. China has been Sk's biggest market for many years. China saved both North and South Korea to some extent.
