I couldn't have said it better myself Bhai. Whole heartedly agree. Just want to add one opinion and that is , perhaps we need a presidential form , so that head of state/ head of govt don't need to rely on political parties too much . Even if we successfully manage rigged election still someone need to rely on party people and you even can't arrange a rigged election in believable form if you replace the hardcore party members.

Like Obaidul Quader ( or like him ) can you nominate a novice against Obaidul Quader in Noakhali 5 and win the election ? Even if you win ,it will not be believable for a die hard fan.

So head of state needs to be dependent on such people to form a govt .

On the other hand , in a presidential form you don't need such thing. People directly can choose executive president and he/she can rule a country with iron fist , without the help of party goons. So we need a deep state backed presidential form instead of parliamentary system, specially after Hasina gone . Otherwise it may backfire ,as it's not easy to control people if you have no dynastic figures available.

Agreed on all points. However if the political structure changes that abruptly it will invite interference from outside quarters which we may not want, Stability is key, we must preserve stability and ensure a clean and smooth transition to power agreeable to the opposition even, buying them off if necessary.

In early nineteen twenties, one Mr. Chandi Das was a practicing lawyer in the Civil Court at Kolkata. He had a young beautiful daughter named Gouribala Das. One Mr. Aronnyo Kumar Chakravarti was working as a junior assistant to Mr. Chandi Das. Mr. Chakravarti had a free access to Mr. Das’s residence at his will and used to visit the family frequently. In the process he developed intimate personal illicit relationship with Gouribala. Consequentially, Gouribala became pregnant. When pregnancy was confirmed Gouribala and her father started pressing hard on Mr. Chakravarti to get married. But Mr. Chakravarti being a high cast Brahmin was not only outraged and flatly denied his illicit relationship but audaciously refused to marry Gouribala who belonged to a lower cast. He also disowned the claim that the child was sired by him. Such behavior of Mr. Chakravarti came as a rude shock to the entire family particularly to Mr. Das and he became seriously ill thinking about the ill fate of his beloved daughter’s future.

Finally, Gouribala gave birth to a son on 12.12.1920. The son was named after Mr. Aronnyo Kumar Chakravarti as Dev Das Chakravarti. Thereafter, Mr. Das kept on requesting Mr. Aronnyo to accept Gouribala as his wife and Dev Das as his son but of no avail. In this melee the boy became three years old.

At that time, having no way out Mr. Das begged Sheikh Luthfur Rahman, his Muhuri (Document Writer) to marry Gouribala. The obedient Muhuri obliged Mr. Das and married Gouribala after she and begotten son Dev Das, sired by Mr. Chakravarti got converted into Islam taking the Muslim names Sahera Begum and Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

An affidavit No118 dated 10.11.1923, was registered with the Kolkata Magistrate Court in this regard.

The Chinese Embassy in Dhaka has regretted sending gifts to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on her "fake birthday", mentioning that it was a "mistake" on their part, says an informed source on Sunday.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) raised the issue with the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka when they came to know about it, the source told UNB.

A diplomatic source said the Chinese Embassy informed the MoFA that it was a "mistake" on their part because they did not do any research on it and did not understand the sensitivity of the matter.


The Chinese Embassy expressed "apology " for it and assured that they will take care of it, said the source.


The Chinese Embassy informed the MoFA that they have a national policy of reaching out to all leaders of various political parties and they have been doing it for years.


Their office had been sending it to the BNP Chairperson "routinely" and they were not aware of this "fake birthday".

They usually send flowers to all leaders, said the diplomatic source.

Khaleda Zia's birthday is a matter of controversy in Bangladesh as there were four birth dates: August 5, 1944; August 19, 1947; September 5, 1946 and August 15, 1946 - appeared in the media on various occasions.

There were criticisms that the Chinese Embassy sent flowers to Khaleda on her "fake" birthday when the nation was observing the National Mourning Day.

On August 15, the National Mourning Day was observed with due respect and solemnity, marking the 45th anniversary of assassination of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman – the architect of the country's independence -- was assassinated along with most of his family members at the crack of dawn on August 15, 1975 by a cabal of heinous army personnel under a deep-rooted conspiracy against the country and its independence.

His two daughters -- Sheikh Hasina, now the prime minister, and Sheikh Rehana -- survived the massacre as they were abroad at that time.

All I want is the stability and peace in Bangladesh and better lifestyle that we are living . Extreme poverty gone , hartal vangchur gone , and we have 24 hours electricity . That's enough for us .
