China's Selling the J-31, But Who's Buying?

.
first,I want to ask,how come fanboys added J-31 with $75 million tag??a decent 4++ gen costs way greater than that price tag.unless China found a way to produce an aircraft comparable with F-35($150-200 mil per piece for now),this $75 mil figure is just holy cow...or possibly they are just selling a near empty fuselage to those who couldn't possibly afford a proper 5th gen.even then, that price tag isn't impressed enough.see the JF-17???not that much attractive to the poor countries and regardless the price, they're buying Mig-29 or SU-27.

Yes l guess India consider high price tag one of the fifth-gen characteristics. good, I hope your FGFA cost a billion each, then it must be better than F-22.

Mate the price factor also include F.O.H (factory over heads) + Utility changes+Tax+Worker Salary and china have all of these things one of the lowest in the world.China also give a concept of Mass Production and it reduce price tag further more. So If US invest $3 in some thing then China need only $1 to invest in that and buy that maths you can say that $75 million of Chinese = $225 million in US ( a rough figure). So its a big amount in China. Please also note that China produce 4++ plane in price tag of $40 million so +$35 million is for 5th gen frame and other stuff

you're simply implying some data that is more amusing than fiction.1/3 cost to produce the same thing??its a fact that China's Worker's salary is low.but that barely counts for high tech multi million dollar products like Fighter Jet.example, take the Chinese 4th gen J-10A,which's unit Flyaway cost(declared) is somewhere around $40 mil.but that aircraft is barely comparable with F-16 A/B which costs around the same.but when you make something with the capability of highly evolved F-15 or evolved F-16s,they're not going to be that cheap.ask them to release the J-10B's cost, you'd see the sharp escalation in cost.see, the basic SU-30 costs India around the same range, but when you compare that with latest versions of SU-30 MKI,you'd see the massive difference of capability as well as the cost escalation of almost 2 times.plus,Aircraft's cost comes down with the number of produced aircraft(just like every H/W.the initial cost of setting up factories etc is massive).but when F-35,with 2400+(100+ already produced) orders can't cope with the cost,do you simply imply some handful orders of J-31 would cost so low??even if does, that means with proper order, the cost of J-31 would reach as low as $40-$50 million per unit,a concept which is as funny as hell.

those who believe in this theory, never try to make a double check on facts.a 5th gen is not just a sexy fuselage, its the systems you put in it.a decent 4++ gen can't be produced in $75 mil(4th Gen Rafale costs more than this,so does later gen F-15s,Typhoons and SU-30 MKI and SU-35s),because its not just the fuselage.for eg.each F-35A engine cost roughly $16 million and each F-35B engine cost about $38 million.and these engine gives the performance they're made for.if you expect a $10 mil engine can provide the same,be assured,it'd be USA who would reach in that country to produce that engine there.

So according to your theory you mean to say that Indian cars are low cost and far inferior to European or American because they are expensive?. J10A is far superior to F16A/b and is in same league as F16 C/D 40+. Problem with Indian mindset is that they think Chinese products are inferior.

don't divulge from the topic..yes,you just can't compare Tata Nano with BMW.one is for serving low end while other for high end.same thing is here..its not Indian Mindset that Chinese Weapons are not upto par.if Chinese Weapons were so successful, you'd see a long queue for JF-17 and Helos they're making.but we're yet to see such a queue.only successful product China exported in aerospace sector was J-7,modified version of legendary Mig-21.

now,return to the topic...

see,I don't want to pull all these topics as that could lead to discussion divulge from the topic.lets discuss what we have on hand.one one hand,we're talking about F-35,an extremely capable and evolved 5th gen,and we're comparing it with a completely unknown platform like J-31.the only known details of it is it is quite heavy and underpowered as it is using Russian engines it is not designed for...and Fanboys are yapping about an imaginary price tag of $75 mil.my point is,to be as capable with F-35,$75 mil is way lower than expected.hell, they possibly couldn't make the aircraft on $75 mil on the first place,or they're trying to sell an aircraft using 5th gen tag which doesn't qualify as a 5th gen.we're going to find out soon.the discussion is over unless you've some information on J-31.

What if China took all that into consideration as they have the ability to do... more than anyone on this forum and came up with that initial figure price of $ 75 million? It is believable as @ghazaliy2k explained it.

Who said 75million USD price from some fanboy ? It's official news said by AVIC's FC-31 chief engineer .

Selling standalone J-31s is of no use to man or beast. Comparing it to the F-35s is lame as these operate and synergize with a variety of other components (drones, EW aircraft, satellites etc), all working together to create a more accurate vision of the battle-space environment. The J-31 doesn't have these capabilities. The F-35 therefore, is in a different league altogether.

Is this the reason that the PLAAF isn't inducting these aircraft but only planning to exporting them? If the J-31 was even close to the F-35 in capabilities, the PLAAF would have been the first to have them before even thinking of exporting them!

your deduction are way off, anyone who will but these planes would either latch it to their satellite or rent to latch on a trusted bandwidth as most countries have don it so far..

What make you sure that SU35 is superior than J-31?

I didn't mean that.
I said China still consider to buy Su-35 at this moment, that means J-31, J-20 is not reliable for them to mass produce. At least for next 5 years.
Or China want something from Su-35 to finish J-31, J-20
