China's first large passenger jet succeeds in lifting front wheel in taxiing tests

future of Boeing and Airbus now dont look so promising, once these jets hit the market for one third the price of those competitors. West wanted a service economy and China is providing them all the opportunities for it

man these gonna be awesome and gonna break american monopoly

What American monopoly?

Airbus and Boeing are established players. It's up to China to prove they can challenge them, but then again, China has a captive market. But we shall see. It's a long road to go.

Does China even makes engine for this domestic level planes ?

No. They were using Western engines, at the moment. No doubt engine development will be the next step in its evolution.

Make no mistake, the C919 wasn't meant to and is not going to break any sort of Airbus-Boeing duopoly. It is meant to be a verification step for COMAC to demonstrate its ability to lead the development of large commercial aircraft, a stepping stone, if you will.

Why China does not make processors company like Intel's ones
China has bought license from AMD, so microprocessors are the next step. They are aggressively acquiring semiconductor process technologies and building mega fabs. It's their official policy to drastically reduce IC imports and they're spending money like hell!!!!!!

The 168-seat C919 is roughly the same size as Airbus's A320 and Boeing's 737-800, which are the most popular airliners in the world.
