very low spending compare to total GDP.

economy is like a house of cards. china and usa economy are ponzi schemes. maybe the whole world economy is like that LOL



if China is willing to spend 3 to 5% on the military 5 to 6 aircraft carriers will be very possible.

China's future aim is 6 aircraft carriers

China is improving military strength slowly, but not too fast, because by ancient teachings, if a state improves this thing too fast, it's not a good sign. Soviet Union is one example
 
1.3% is too low, it will be around 2%, which is still low by world standards........ but since they have the economy as top priority so we should expect the share to go up in the distant future.
