There will be the same Chinese Poster starting this thread

Marians will conquer the earth, the world agree
Frankly saying, many many Westerners like you are very similiar with the Chinese of medium-term and late Qing dynasty.

American power is rapidly on the decline while China has been replacing America in trade, investment, finance and many other areas. No other country in the world has the capability to rival America. America just cannot stop the rise of China. With each passing year, China will increase its power while America continues to lose its power.

Notice in each one of the items below that the (1) represents that China is ALREADY number 1 in that category. By 2025, China will be number 1 in EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE ITEMS. Yes, every single one of them, including the currency section. The (?) shows data that is not available.

yes, we are still short of blanket bombing vietnam and spraying orange agent on it jungle. maybe we will do it in the future to show our responsibility.

US nuked japan and ravaged viets, look how you people admired them now.
you are the living evidence of being a hooligan. Unlike the US, that only conducted terrible things on Vietnam and Japan once in the lifetime, your country China constantly plays a policy of intimidation and creates an atmosphere of fear. I ignore the rest of your racist rants.

Whether or not China is actually a superpower at the moment is not the issue here. Pew Research polls are about public perception. And as long as the average country believes China will become a superpower, these countries are more likely to collaborate with China rather than oppose China at every turn. Countries flocking to join the AIIB is the perfect example of this.

Also certain members on this forum are always saying China has no soft power. This poll proves that sentiment wrong.
China now is like the US in 1870s, we have many way to go, we are just building a new world.:china:

.
No.

We are all human with virtues and flaws. Chinese are survivors with a history of longevity, wealth and culture. But there are also many flaws. Our greatest enemy has always been ourselves.

THIS. We had our fair share of fellow countrymen who wouldn't hesitate to sell out their country and even their own mothers and children in order to obtain their goals, and we have some of the most destructive civil wars in history to prove it. Goes to show that deceit and betrayal is just as dangerous as any external threat.

.
Its not even that long ago that the western powers + Japan attempted to carve up China. 2 centuries lost to Manchu ineptitude and decadence. Nian rebellion, Taiping rebellion, 2 Opium wars, Empress dowager bitch, boxer rebellion unequal treaty after unequal treaty...

Add Japanese murderous aggression 1915 - 1945, civil war 1945 - 1949, war against the entire U.N 1950s, failed economic policies and uncontrolled revolutionary zeal up to 1978, famine, war with the USSR, Sanctions....

What Civilization can withstand all that and still come back fighting?

Only Chinese.

Any other peoples would have collapsed to dust.

Impressive comrade
Allow me to put a similar summary of my country

1000 years of Arab,Turkic & Central Asians invasions,200 years of systematic plundering by the British reducing the country one of the largest economy of the time to s third rate power with no industrial base, failed commie policies,Sanctions by the west & hundreds of small insurgencies

Any other people would have collapsed to dust
That being said the biggest enemy of our civilizations has always been from the inside

Your opinions on this

I think that fake is a wrong word, artificial creations is more appropriate in my opinion. In case of Yugoslavia we had different nationalities, that wanted different things. Serbs wanted all Serbs in one country, and this was achievable through Yugoslavia or Great Serbia. During the WW1, we had choice to go for one or other option, In that time there was no Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Macedonia. Serbia was on the side of the allies, and because of that Serbia could easily unite all Serbs in one country. In 1915 all Bosnia and large parts of Croatia were offered to Serbia after the war. Large parts of Croatia and Slovenia were also promised to Italy. So Croatian and Slovenian nationalists saw Yugoslavia as a way to prevent that. For them Yugoslavia was a temporary solution, and a way to get an independent state in the future. In that time bosnians were not considered a different nationality. Muslims from Bosnia were Serbs and Croats that converted to Islam.

So as i already said we had Serbs that wanted all Serbs in one state, and we had Croats, Slovenians... that wanted their own independent states. And we had Yugoslavia were borders were made so to divide Serbs in different republics, because everyone else was afraid of Serbian hegemony in Yugoslavia. So we always had compromises, and more compromises, and dictatorship....all to prevent artificial creation to fall apart. And after all start to fall apart in the 90's, we had Serbs that were not happy. Because since 19 century we had four uprisings and three wars with Turkey, one war with Bulgaria, WW1 and WW2, and all to liberate and unite territories on which Serbs lived. We lost more than 25% of our population in WW1, and around 8% of all Serbs in Yugoslavia died in WW2, and all that for nothing.

We can all feel it right now, however, too early at the moment. It will be at least 7 to 11 years more when China will truly match US as a global super power, and will claim it's rightful place doing so.

.
China has lost its chance, they did have a real shot. They should have taken the write offs when it was much smaller but now it is too late. So hving lost the economic edge now only the deeemed alterrnate military sponsor role remains - hence you see the SCS saabre rattling, tokens such as islnd building at enormous cost. Rogue nations such as N.Korea, Pakistan look up to China ...that`s it.

So why do so many other people`s opine that China can? Because CPC hs been `managing` the bd news in small doses. If they addmit to the Bloomberg analysis of writeoff amount China will sink overnight and it will be painful forthe while world - so it suits uss just fine even in the US that China is not exposed on this matter.

Oh beyond that $26T (only 6 admitted so far by CPC) I have another big one brewing - this is to do with Africa. But tht can wait.

Summary: China has lost its way to super power. Big power yes, super no. That title has been assured for the USA for another century. After that it is about space minerls....new game

These last few weeks i had chance to interact a lot with cannon americans. I mean the real americans that run their country and represent the meat of their society not the desi-american grand per week workhorses that are actually getting bitch slapped all over the country and show up on internet to act smart. Anyway so those real privileged americans like those at google, research institutes, educators, etc etc, after talking to them one is left in no doubt whatsoever that america is to stay at the top. They have a learning culture. A real intellectualism, where one observes, studies, thinks, reflects and questions the established knowledge and comes up with his own opinions. Chinese are not yet there at the topmost level. All there focus is on learning everything written in the books. They have not yet reached the stage where one begins to question things. Surely they will get there after transiting through this present state but until then america will remain one step ahead of them.

Was Soviet Union a fake country?
To some extent, yes. There were two Union projects - Stalin's one and Lenin's. Stalin proposed the national republics to remaine part of the Soviet Federative Russia. Lenin proposed to create a federation of nominally equal republics.
Unfortunately, the project of Lenin won.
