I don't trust PressTv or CounterPunch and have heard nothing from official channels, so I'll hold off on my analysis of the situation.

Forget about Djibouti！in 2016 the 50-year lease from UK to US over Diego Garcia will expire，words on the street that the Brits were not too happy about the Americans using that island for torturing prisoners，they might consider leasing it to China

That does explain things. And It's an appreciated escape from the general stupidity on this forum. I mean PressTV? Since when have they been a quality source of anything other than garbage. But if I wanted garbage I'd take a trip to our local landfill.

First of all, China is not "take over strategic US military base in Djibouti." There are rumors from non-chinese offical sources saying China is interested in a base in Djibouti. It is just rumors.

China is heavily investing in Djibouti. Before you know it, they can ORDER Djibouti to kick them out. It's their economy after all. It'll take a while though.

secondly, this is not how China operate at all. China doesn't demand exclusionary relationship with others, it doesn't force "you either with us or against us" choice on others; like some other countries. China can have friendly relationship with SK while maintain reasonable relationship with NK. China and Pakistan have trustly realionship while Pakistan can still have working relationship with USA. China have very good relationship with Russia while Russian can sell weapons like subs to Vietnam; and that is ok too.

so, if and when China decides to have a base on Djibouti, with Djibouti's permission of course, China will not have any problem at all with other countries' bases there too.

You're right. Sadly, 'the other side' doesn't look at it that way and DOES see it as a zero sum game. So in due time, China will repay the favour, by also pressuring other countries to choose. Same thing with those THAAD missiles for Korea. Step too far.

There is truth to that statement. In fact, after their senate "voted" to close Clark and Subic, what, only 5 years later they passed the VFA (visiting forces agreement) ? I think it was their worst mistake to "kick" the US out. Well, that is subjective tho.LOL.
