BEIJING: China is becoming one of the most popular destinations for Indian tourists with over six lakh visiting various destinations so far this year, a Chinese official said.

Recent years have witnessed India's outbound tourism soar, with more and more Indians choosing China as their top destination.

It is estimated that the number of outbound tourists from India will reach 50 million overall by 2020, up from 21.87 million in 2016, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.

Tian Xin, an official from the New Delhi office of the China National Tourism Administration, revealed that in 2014, the number of Indian tourists to China was 709,900, up 4.6 per cent year-on-year from 2013.

In 2015, the number increased to 730,500 and in just the first nine months of 2016, the number had already reached 600,900.

China and India, the two most populous countries in the world, started to strengthen tourism cooperation back in 2015.

In that same year, 'Visit India Year' in China was hosted, and in 2016, 'Visit China Year' in India was launched.

Both countries have also been working together to improve service quality, simplify visa procedures and increase direct flights to boost tourism.

Mr Tian told Xinhua that both countries have natural advantages in tourism development, noting that both also have friendly people and abundant tourism resources.

Besides those attributes, the low cost of transportation between the two countries and the same consumption levels have both contributed to mutual tourism development.

Mr Tian believes that there is still "huge development space".

"China and India are neighbouring countries and have a long, good relationship. The Silk Road once closely connected China and India. The tourism services are the bonds linking the two countries," Mr Tian said.

India welcomed 250k Chinese tourists in 2016 and is targeting to increase this to 1 million by 2020 I think.

. . .
I’m more worried with Chinese tourist in India.
This country full of rapist, even transgender got sexual assault on the first day arrive in India.
Disgusting country
Now more and more Chinese women know the little hobby of indian man. I think there are not too many brave women who prefers enjoying landscape to keeping safe and heathy.
According to my ex-girlfriend who's a stewardess, she never went outside of the hotel when she stayed in india, cause her colleagues used to be harassed by indian men.

. . .
Known for their vegetarian diet, Indians' average daily consumption of vegetables and fruits is surprisingly low, it only mounts to 1/8 of that of Chinese. Indians poor diet may have played a role in their slower national building.

Any idea of the surveying used to come to that conclusion?

. .
They simply don't take in enough calories to work 10-12 hours a day, like many Chinese did in 80's and 90's.

I'm still not seeing the sources you are making these conclusions from.

Let's start with the "average fruit and vegetable" consumption per person. Let's see your data source first and foremost. I am pretty sure I know what you are referring from, its debunked ridiculously easily.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/27/world/asia/china-human-trafficking.html?_r=0 as can you see the world has larger concerns about your brethren compared to Weinstein

The Trafficking in Persons Report, or TIP Report, is an annual report issued by the U.S. State Department's Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons. It ranks governments based on their perceived efforts to acknowledge and combat human trafficking.

Perceived? Perceived by who?

Right so the FAOSTAT. Now have you read what fruit and vegetable production data FAO collects?...and how that is not a complete standard for every part of the world?
Yes.
And, today's hawthorn is too sour, But pomegranates are good...

So can you explain to me this discrepancy? Instead of asking people to proof this and that, why not you proof your point? It is a fact India is a starving country even compared to NK. Just accept it, stop trying to twist your way around like a typical Indian.

Yes.
And, today's hawthorn is too sour, But pomegranates are good...
This guy is a more refined Indian, but still the same type of Indian, they will never accept the fact they are starving, and will never face the reality, just want to save face till the last minute. I have heard of stories from my Indian colleagues where even the so called middle class skip lunch and eat a banana because they couldn't afford to buy lunch.
