China passes law to make Islam 'compatible with socialism'

With all due respect, a crime against humanity is a crime wherever it is. Whether that is in Kashmir or China.

By not addressing these issues, doesn't that normalise these horrors, making them acceptable to people? And thereby acceptable in Kashmir.

Uf there are issues then yes, in kashmir there are multitudes of issues. While in china none .

China occupies a part of Kashmir. China has deep history of systematic abuses, you just turn the pages of history to realise that. China images itself as a new global superpower and civilised futuristic 21st century civilisation when it engages in dark age acts. That is not acceptable to the western mind, nor the eastern mind.

Islam has been around in China for 1000 years and we never had a major problem with it, actually a large number of ethnic Chinese joined it and became Chinese Hui Muslims, we never had a crusade against this religion, even today, China maitains a very cordial relations with almost every single Muslim country on this planet.

.
That's a common misconception

Genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:
  1. Killing members of the group;
  2. Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
  3. Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
  4. Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
  5. Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group

I don't disagree with you.

But only "Killing members of the group" will make the international community sit up and take notice. Everything else, they don't care. We see that happening everywhere. Myanmar for example. In fact, even with Myanmar, nobody actually gives a damn.

Bro no need to waste your time and energy in this thread. It's funny how islamaphobic dipshits try to be champion of muslim rights now:lol:

According to the UN, more than one million Uighur are estimated to be held in internment camps where they are forced to denounce the religion and pledge allegiance to the officially atheist ruling Communist Party. Rights groups have accused China of engaging in a campaign of ethnic cleansing.

it takes a dipshit to remain quite. Ah how funny how some have devolved from human to thinktank

Muslim has been living in China for a long long time and they have more or less sinicized in order to mix with other religious groups. Some examples of Muslim mosques in China clearly show this:

Muslims have always been treated with respect and care in China, there are a number of perks and exceptions they enjoy that are not available to common citizens. However Muslim is not treated over state and over any other religions. They are all being treated equally.

.
I'm glad you are having a great time in China. This is not nitpicking.

The whole world is aware of the terrible ethnic cleansing, persecution and suppression by the Chinese. This is not about Muslim or Islam but the rights of humanity.

This is not a propaganda war. There are people as we speak in the 21st century version of concentration camps. I would expect you, as a human to stand up to tyranny.

When it comes down to it, let me tell you that most modern, civilised, intellectual people will sell off governments in favour of human and social rights. What do you think is going on in France right now?

Which world? the US and UK mean world? Which ethnic cleansing? I don't know.

Does anyone still believe in Western propaganda?

In Vietnam, vnexpress.net randomly post articles, written by Western so-called specialists, about this Xinjiang issue, but no one cares and make comment, although there are a lot of people bad-mouth China on other issues like quality or environment.

.
We treat them better and provide them a better life than most Muslim countries.

Sure you do :enjoy:

We fully support your action and wish you would do the same for pakistan :D

I agree with you.

I as a Hindu LOVE the way the chinese treat their muslim population :D

See ? Finally we can agree on something :devil:

I think China is scared of Saudi influenced Islam in their country, for that they should take steps to make sure Chinese Muslims educated from Saudi Arabia don't start trouble in China however China is using this excuse to wipe out the ethnic identity of Uighurs who happen to be Muslims. The Hans cannot stand a large group of Turkic people with their own language and unique culture that has nothing to do with invasive Han culture.

Anyway they will do whatever they want in their lands, Pakistan needs to be careful with Chinese encroachments in North Pakistan though, Han people act like wherever they put a step they own the place. Just look at the behaviours of Chinese in Pakistan.

These pricks are getting too cocky.

Well, you have freedom of religion that is superior to your passport.

Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.

Article 2

Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty.

If that was the case, then Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar would have had temples, Synagogues and monasteries all over their provinces, given the population of expatriates living there and also allowed conversion based on individual desire.

The truth is, these Articles that you cite, are nothing but guidelines for the general world community to consider. Nothing can be enforced.

If Saudi, Brunei etc can have Shariah system well beyond and above these global guidelines, then China has as much right to make sure that foreign religious practises respect the national law.

China is doing right thing, We should follow it as well and state should free religion from clutches of Mullahs.

China passes law to make Islam 'compatible with socialism'

China has passed a new law that seeks to "Sinicize" Islam within the next five years, the latest move by Beijing to rewrite how the religion is practised.

China's main English newspaper, Global Times, reported on Saturday that after a meeting with representatives from eight Islamic associations, government officials "agreed to guide Islam to be compatible with socialism and implement measures to Sinicize the religion."

The newspaper did not provide further details or the names of the associations that agreed to the decree.

China has embarked on an aggressive "Sinification" campaign in recent years with faith groups that were largely tolerated in the past seeing their freedoms shrink under Chinese President Xi Jinping, China's most powerful leader since Mao Zedong.

Practising Islam has been made forbidden in parts of China, with individuals caught praying, fasting, growing a beard or wearing a hijab, a headscarf worn by many Muslim women who feel it is part of their religion, facing the threat of arrest.

According to the UN, more than one million Uighur Muslims are estimated to be held in internment camps where they are forced to denounce the religion and pledge allegiance to the officially atheist ruling Communist Party.

Rights groups have accused China of engaging in a campaign of ethnic cleansing. In August, a Washington Post editorial said the world "can't ignore" the campaign against Muslims.

Islamic crescents and domes have been stripped from mosques, and according to the Associated Press news agency, religious schools and Arabic classes have been banned and children barred from participating in Muslim activities.

China has rejected the criticism, saying it protects the religion and culture of its minorities.

However, in the past week alone, authorities in China's Yunnan province, which borders Mynamar, have closed three mosques established by the marginalised Hui Muslim ethnic minority, the South China Morning Post has reported.

Firstly, the countries you have mentioned are not engaging in gross human rights violations to extent of being labelled genocide and ethnic cleansing. China is doing barbaric acts, therefore China issues will be highlighted in the world. Saudi Arabia is also doing war crimes in Yemen, and that is also being highlighted in the world.

There are limits and lines and concentration camps of a specific ethnic group is crossing the red line.

Are you a two year old kid, saying "Well bob down the street punched a kid and took his lollipop, so why cant I"

There are still morons around who try to perpetuate the long and easily debunked "UN report" lie the U.S. regime mouthpieces have fabricated?
