On topic - Chinese investments in Bangladesh are only going to increase in the coming years. Chinese investors aren't foolish. Some will go to Vietnam, some to Indonesia. But a large number will come to Bangladesh.

They have to - it is as inevitable as the law of gravity and physics, given the circumstances.

We should have discussed the why and how of that phenomenon - instead of throwing mud back and forth.

I said by 2030 it will become a developed country. Whether Bangladesh can reach 15000 usd per capita mark by 2041 this is yet to be seen. It may require couple of year extra but so far it is in right track in terms of growth.

Recently Standard Chartered Bank has predicted Bangladesh will have 5700 USD per capita GDP by 2030. With 7% GDP growth economy double every seven years. That means by 2037 it will double to 11400 usd per capita gdp if Bangladesh can maintain 7% gdp growth. Within next 4 year assuming Bangladesh will maintain 7% gdp growth it is possible. It may be missed by few years due to lower growth.

Another thing 7-8% gdp growth is a very fast rate of growth. It can change a country drastically if it can maintain this growth rate for 2-4 decades. You can see for example China (4 decades), Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore etc (25+ years) were in 7% club.
