You don't get that a Chinese Museum holding an exhibition vs random pics people put together on the internet. You still don't get why you don't compare blacks to apes and monkeys. How would like to see a Museum in DC host pictures of Chinese women and massage parlors or Chinese people eating dogs and cats?

It's the same, in China we believe in revolution of species , in many Chinese museums you see comparison of ape alongside with a human of whatever races. And if that photo in that museum is a white person with an ape together, do you think it is racism?

This thread is a reflection of the mindset of a pathetic people. It is one thing for a percentage of the population to be racist - this is a sad malaise in India too where people look down on Africans but an institution like a museum openly flaunting its racist mindset has no place in the civilized world. But then, one can't really count China in that world.

So comparing a white guy or a Chinese with ape is Ok, but not a black? and you are saying you are not racist?

I am pretty sure that the museum didn't even realize anything when they did that cause racism is never a big issue in China, most Chinese people are not racism conscious in their daily life, only after being pointed out by racist minded foreigners did they realize it can have that evil connotation in other parts of the world.

I lived in US and I personally know how big a problem racism is there and they even have self segregation, on my way home from New York to Madison. New Jersey you will go past many all white or all black towns. Racism is never a big issue in a China and most people are unaware of that so sometimes they may make stupid mistakes in westerners eyes and minds.

If you think about it - theirs is a fairly isolated society. As a state and as a civilization, their contribution to the planet has been minimal given their size. This probably means they suffer from a deep rooted inferiority complex. What better way to try and get over their own securities than by belittling others.

Even among those not isolated we see this racist trait.. take Beijingwalker as an example. He opinions on everything anti-US and others. Shows western media articles(irony) when he wants to portray us in a bad light. Acts like a recruited rep of the CCP here and is completely aware of the outside world. YET he tries to act clueless about the obvious racist connotation of comparing blacks with apes and monkeys. Trust me this excuse of being isolated is hogwash.
