China 'largest economy' by 2024

Being the biggest economy means shit to us. We want to reach parity with the US on MILITARY front.

The two go hand in hand. Unless you think following the Soviet Union to oblivion is a good idea? No? Then the economy matters *more* than the military because without one you can't have the other.

They are mutually exclusive but we don't need to be the top economy to be powerful. Military power will be the ultimate game changer. Soviet fell is not of economy. Many factors play in the collapse.

This will happen when we got JL-3 and Type 003, also with Type 096/Type 095/J-20/Type 055/Type 052D deployed in large number.
We cannot be satisfy until at least 500 J-20, 20 052D, 50 096 SSN, and 2,000 Type 99 Tank.

I think they will plan to build 10 Type 096 SSBNs and 20 Type 095 SSNs, then they will move to the next gen Type 098/097.

As for J-20, definitely more than the number of F-22.

As the Type 052D, most likely 12 units, then they will start the Type 055, which will perhaps eventually rival the production units of the Arleigh Burke class DDG.

Typical han. Buddha was an Indian. There was no such thing as china until we gave you that name.

Nope. Buddha was not Indian. He was Nepalese.

Forget names, there was no such thing as 'India' the country before the British colonised those little Hindu kingdoms and glued it together and called it 'India'.

It took the British to give you a country with a central government.

Pretty much all Hindu history is based on Islam. That's why even the Taj Mahal was built by Muslims.

With those numbers, we will be 2nd and whoever will be a distant 3rd. Basically it will be

USA 2 level up on us and we are 2 level up on the 3rd place.

By 2025, the USN will lose a large number of SSN, because the LA class will eventually meet its retirement in that period.

But the building speed of the Virginia class is not enough to fulfill that hole.

How many Virginia class will the US have? We need to at least match 2/3 of them to ensure MAD.

The first Virginia was commissioned in 10 years ago, for now the USN has 10 boats in total.

By 2025, the USN will have around 20 Virginia boats according to this trend.

So 23 Seawolf/Virginia SSNs, and 18 Ohio SSBNs.

In order to keep the Ohio class, I think the USN will retire a large amount of LA class.

Imagine even the newest LA class boats will be around 30 years old by 2025.

The LA class will be mostly out by 2025.

Absolutely true.

Nope, it's because of greater population. Bound to happen.

Pakistan is also a big country, but I don't see that country catching up with Japan or Germany any time soon. I wish I was wrong.

Bro, you should and you can catch up with these country for sake of your country and your people.

You need to be more confident. I have the confidence that you can solve problems in your development process .

I'm not Pakistani... but I hope the best for Pakistan of course.

4 Virginia Block I commissioned since end of 2004-2008
6 Virginia Block II commissioned since end of 2008 - 2013
first of 8 Virginia Block III would be commissioned next month October 2014.
10 Virginia Block IV was ordered for the last would be commissioned in 2023.

Total 28,
active 10, the oldest 10 years old, then 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 , 1
18 would be commissioned during 10 years, 2014-2023, 2 per year, from now.

About the same quantity of LA class, nearly 30 ( upgraded ) commissioned during 1988-1996, could last more if refuel after 30 years of lifetime.

The Soviet Union collapsed because their economy was crap and couldn't keep up with their military expenditures. The US, knowing this, won the Cold War by forcing the USSR to spend itself into oblivion as the Soviets tried to match the US tit for tat, in vain. This is common knowledge.

50 096 Subs? You *do* know the 096 would be an SSBN? It goes like this 091 SSN, 092 SSBN, 093 SSN, 094 SSBN, 095 SSN....096...wait for it...that's right! SSBN. But I'm sure that was just a typo on your part. A person that thinks a strong military and a strong economy are "mutually exclusive", to quote you, surely has a clear grasp of Chinese weapon platforms and how many of said platforms China would need to "level up" (or whatever video game analogy you're applying to a real life situation).

But come to think of it, Kim Jong Un also apparently believes that military expenditures and economic strength or mutually exclusive. And we all know how terrific North Korea is doing...
