The traditional inhabitants of the Tarima basin and Xinjiang were the Buddhist Dzungars, who were oppressive overlords of Uyghurs and other groups in that region.

The Dzungars ran out of favor with China, and that is when the Dzungars were ethnically cleansed from this area with the help of Muslim Uiyghurs, who settled that area as its new rulers.

This is irrefutable history.

Its good history lesson but it does not make sense to talk about it in this thread this thread has been invaded by CPC Chinese, and AKP Turkish trolls with their own narratives of the history I prefer if the MODS close it as it been derailed but alas I have no powers to force them as for Pakistanis siding with any of the Chinese trolls and Turkish trolls a BIG F..............CKKKK YOOUUU PAKISTAN FIRST

Yes. That is irrefutable history. China owns the land of southern Xinjiang because we allied with the Uighurs to defeat the Dzungar Mongols. Uighurs joined China just like the Confederate states joined the USA. These decisions cannot be unmade just as the Confederates found out in the American civil war.

The Chinese embassy in Ankara advised residents and tourists travelling to Turkey to “be wary and pay attention to their personal safety”.
It's a statement ready-made for mockery. If I was a Turkish tourism promoter in China, I'd wave the statement all over the place, inviting Chinese to dare visit "dangerous" Turkey!

This is what a real Turk looks like. Golden skin. Almond eyes. Black hair. Looks like me. Doesn't look like you Anatolians. You are just pretenders! Time for the real Turks to show the Anatolian pretenders their place!

Maybe it won't affect Turkey much cause it's not a Chinese tourist hotspot anyway, China did the same once to South Korea and almost broke their whole tourist chains.

So sad to see Israel kiss Turkey's a*s and be so hostile toward Iran. Such a misguided policy. I see Israel as a great model for future Turkey - an apartheid state where Kurds own and dominate 95% of its terrority, and the terrorists packed into Gaza-like cantons, where they get regularly showered with incendiary munitions:

I'm not an Israeli
You sure do a great impression of one. For how long you've waved their pom-poms, it would be criminal if Israel didn't give you at least honorary citizenship.

To tell you the truth, Turks have different phenotypes. Some are white, others are olive complexioned. Some Asian looking, others are Caucasians. You are talking about a very diverse group.

Turks of Turkey are Oghuz, they have always looked that way.

Who you are talking about are the Turks in the east like Kyrgyz, Eastern Russia, Mongolia, and Uyghurs.

The language and the culture comes from the Eastern group. This is the original group. Anatolia was inhabited by Greeks when the Turkic Huns entered the picture.

In this thread we have all these Anatolian pretenders trying to speak for "Turks" when all the real Turks are part of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the SCO is totally united with China against terrorism, separatism and extremism. They are nobodies. Turkic people are China's side.

You know what if I were a Turkish geo-startegic dude in Ankara I would be like in favor of closer ties with the Balkans or perhaps a Greco-Turkish Confederation as proposed by Greek Turkogolist Dimtri Kitsikis to be fair Turks are mixed people I would say a good chunk of Turks are of Balkan origin so more closer to Greece and the Balkans than to Central Asia

I am not denying that Central Asians are close to the Anatolian Turks but I recall once a Uzbek dude who was once fond of Turkey still likes the country was often called "Chinky" or "slit-eyed" despite being Turkic again one person you would expect that more in Russia than Turkey also back in 2015 a bunch of Turks attacked Uighur resturant owner and workers thinking they were "Chinese"
