As the winter session of Parliament got underway on Tuesday, an agitated Mulayam Singh Yadav led his Samajwadi Party members into the well in the Lok Sabha during question hour. The issue? No, not Women's Reservation Bill. Nor the caste census. He foresaw an attack by China on India "very soon".

When allowed to speak during zero hour later, Mulayam said, "China had invaded India in 1962 too and grabbed lakhs of km of our land." China, according to him, was talking to the Prime Minister, but on the other hand, "it is completing preparations for an attack". "It is a (word expunged) country," Mulayam repeatedly said while demanding a discussion in the House. Mulayam said China "is staking claim on several of our states including Arunachal, Himachal, Uttarakhand and Ladakh". "It is going to attack soon... the attack may come anytime," he added.
