China in third tier of a four-tier global manufacturing hierarchy: former minister

No, you need not, just as you pretend to be an Venezuelan lives in Argentina, you don't need to went to those countries too.
I know you are too shame to let others know in fact you are Indian.

you don't need to went to

Perfect English.
Hahaha

BTW you are NOT in a position to be able to see my Passport and hence identify my nationality.
And then I have two residential permits from two different countries.

You are better off not indulging in personal attacks. I am a member here since 8 years, while you are a newbie it seems.

China dominates the world manufacturing market, that means Chinese products outsell everyone else, law of the market tells you that you can claim you produce the best quality products, but if no one buys them, you'll be soon out of the business and go bankrupt.
On the contrary, if you outsell your competitors , you get the money which enables you to reinvest in quality control and make better quality future products. quality needs money to gurantee.

And numbers of Walmarts in India?

30.

Have you EVER been to China??

Do I have to?

Do I have to jump into the Mariana Trench to find out how deep it is?

So if I talked about Electrolux product for example, you would want me to visit Sweden first?

What kind of mentality is this?

You are pretty much without clue about what Chinese manufacturing technical capabilities are. Therefore you are hemming hawing and dancing around by mentioning appliance reliability rankings and what not.

The reason for my getting animated is that overseas IT labor Indians like you try to defend India in front of the world without having any clue where India stands in manufacturing (not that I owe you any explanations, it's for others here).

I have visited China and India, both. India is about twenty years behind China in manufacturing - and still Indian bhakts keep jumping up and down trying to bad mouth China. If India keeps Modi, it will stretch to forty more years of gap in development.

Lately all the Power stations in India being installed are fabricated in China. The tunnel boring machines for Mumbai subway were made in China, and heck, Indians are not even capable of putting them together (integration of components) for successful operations.

Sany and Liugong brand Chinese construction equipment are working all over India.

Your bhakts boycotting China and Chinese products does not matter to China one bit, because India cannot hold a candle to China in manufacturing anything, whether high speed rail, supercomputers, jet airliners, CNC precision machining centers - anything.

India is so far behind, they always try to compare themselves to countries like Bangladesh, so bhakts can feel better about being ahead in something. Pathetic.

Now even Bangladesh exceeded India in per capita GDP, as well as in health, education HDI number.

India is the largest open defecator country. These are facts.

Just googling and putting out theoretical posts is pointless.

The lack of logic is in your posts.

Have some idea about what you are posting, otherwise you are embarrassing yourself. Know where India stands.

The subject of the thread is tiers of global manufacturing hierarchy and where countries rank in those tiers.

Appliance manufacturing is not even considered Tier 1 - which you don't get.

First you came with a snide remark against a well reputed German company with nearly 100 million dollars revenue as "BS list" without knowing the ABC of the same (company)

And then, when educated on the same with profile and overview of the same company - you just changed the track by using the key word "context" to escape the shame. And if that was not enough, you came with a personal attack a la "false flagger" (my ID is nearly 8 years old by now)

And still, you shifted gears to sheet metal, and now tier 1-2-3 and what not.

Damage control?
Errr!

Pound for pound you have nothing to offer here - except a short temper and a show-off with 800 dollar washing machine, (which are available dime a dozen for 250-300 dollars)

And not to forget your following one liner silly gem:

Have you EVER been to China??

Well I gave you the benefit of the doubt and now you are ignored.

Your whole identity is a lie like your handle (Argentina, Venezuela)

False flagging is against forum rules and you have been reported.

The way i see it , the world needs both cheap and expensive product variations.
So that all aspect of the market can be addressed.

If all beef was A5 wagyu prices, then no one would eat beef.

No matter if Chinese products are shit or not what matter is there products cover a demand and they reap the rewards.
Let the markets decide organically.

Indians will always be sour grapes cus they are less competitive in the hardware spectrum.
Accept emulate and outcompete. Other wise keep hitching onto some ones else bandwagon to sling shit.

Compared to the west Chinses brands are unheard off , yet they outcompete the west just on the basis of pricing and accessibility.

Some of these bhakt people are just deluded.

Look at the smartphone market in India. Top brands are almost all from China. The rest (Samsung) uses Chinese subassemblies. They haven't even invested in local flex circuit board (with SMD) production for smartphone - unlike us in Bangladesh. Those are imported from China. Just SKD assembly in India, using screwdrivers.

"India saw smartphone shipment at over 150 million units in the pandemic-hit 2020. The smartphone market grew 19 per cent year-on-year in December 2020 quarter with Xiaomi (including POCO) at numero uno position with 26 per cent market share during the quarter.

Samsung ranked second (21 per cent), followed by Vivo (16 per cent), Realme (13 per cent) and Oppo (10 per cent) in the fourth quarter of 2020, according to Counterpoint data."
