China hints at providing financial assistance to Taliban controlled Afghanistan

China finances Taliban. Pakistan provides manpower, training and intelligence. West provides diplomatic support. Game over for Russia, Iran and India in central Asia.
Actually Russia can join in along with Central Asian Republics...under BRI China can develop Afghanistan's infrastructure...and get the whole region connected for trade...
...Iran too...just recently embarked onto BRI with China...it would be pointless for it to just sit out...when it can gain much through interconnectivity and trade.

As for India...well India axed its own foot...by supporting Northern Alliance all this time and antagonizing Afghan Taliban. In any case...I hope this happens...and the Afghan ppl can finally see some peace, prosperity, and development. It would be great for the region as a whole.

Russia and China were anti taliban 20 yrs ago. Today only taliban can guarantee that russians don't get hooked on heroin and China's eastern Muslim regions can be kept safe from outsider interference.
China was always pro Taliban.

. . .
China supported the Taliban against the Russians and against the US.
China supported anti soviet movement in the 80's. after 9/11 China was not pro taliban neither was Russia. The Russians even gave support to NATO against taliban.

But with the passive of time as Russians were getting hooked on heroin which was growing like grass under NATO observation. China and Russia started to see presensence of NATO was and then later on started to deal with Taliban.

things were not so rosy, today only the talib can guarantee that both Russia and China venerable geography is kept safe by them.

China spoke out against NATO invasion of Afghanistan after 9/11. Didn't help the NATO invasion in any way.

China opposes all countries that support terrorist organizations, including the Taliban 20 years ago.

Al Qaeda was the database of cia mujahedin used against the Soviets and Russians in Afghanistan and in the Balkans. Then used as a "visas for terrorists" to blame for the false flag 9/11 attacks.

The director of the National Security Agency under Ronald Reagan, General William Odom remarked, “by any measure the U.S. has long used terrorism. In 1978-79 the Senate was trying to pass a law against international terrorism – in every version they produced, the lawyers said the U.S. would be in violation.”

I didn't say China helped NATO I said Russia supported NATO in the early years! Let me put it this way. if China had opposed post 9/11 invasion of afghanistan then Pakistan would have cushioned on that and opposed it too. But post 9/11 no one opposed NATO.

:sarcastic:You have repeated what I said.

Why should china opposed NATO? Seeing NATO sinking in a hole that cost them 20 years ,trillions of dollars for nothing is much more entertaining.

Not necessarily... Iran is quiet relieved and has relunctently accepted the taliban, the fact that they no longer have to worry about US/NATO troops to their east is a major victory for them.

Russia also has geopolitical interests in seeing the US leave afghanistan. They wont have an adversary on their southern front. Furthermore Russia has huge economic interests in Afghanistan. Huge contracts for pipelines, energy extractions, minerals, etc... they have build leverage via major projects in Pakistan in recent years.

Russia now has a direct access to the Pakistani market alone is a major boost to Russia, seeing that a population of 200 M with more wealth/income/population than all the central asian states combined as well as a deep warm water port access (Gwadar & Karachi).
