Repeated Intrusions along Indian Territory by Chinese military and Rise in Military tensions between China and Japan is pushing India towards a Military alliance in Asia, said a Defence analyst from India to idrw.org.
India, Japan and Vietnam unofficially have entered into a Military alliance with each other without openly declaring one, Japan is all set to lift its self-imposed ban on weapons exports as it seeks to play a more active role in maintaining global peace, No doubt India will be its first customer.
Indian and Japanese officials are all set to meet this month to discuss possible sale of Japanese US-2 amphibious aircraft to India. The aircraft, a four-engine turboprop, is used for search and rescue operations but can also be vital in keeping an eye on Chinese Naval Ships activity in Indian Ocean, since this aircrafts can land on water if required it gives India major advantages in Protecting its islands in Indian ocean .
India and Japan are also considering taking up joint naval exercises from Next year in South China Sea and Indian Ocean, India on other hand has started training naval submariners from Vietnam and soon will be training Sukhoi pilots from Vietnam and there is also likely Sales of BrahMos Missile by India to Vietnam. BrahMos which was first tested in 2001 was dubbed as “carrier killer missile “back then.
Idrw.org had reported that India might also offer Prahaar (Pragati) Missile which is a solid-fuelled surface-to-surface guided short-range battlefield support tactical ballistic missile developed by DRDO which was also recently showcased in South Korea Defence Expo to Vietnam.
China is also locked in a bitter territorial dispute with the Philippines over islands in the South China Sea and Philippines have recently expressed to India’s External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid on this visit to the country on possible purchase of naval frigates from India.
Philippines Navy which was impressed by Stealth Frigates of Indian Navy which had visited them several times in last few years and want to Purchase Two Stealth Frigates from India , Indian Shipbuilders are working at maximum capacity now and are working on current orders placed by Indian Navy and such request will be harder to process due to shipbuilding limitation in the country , But India is planning to outsource Naval orders to Private shipbuilders in the future and if this happens India might be able to sell some Stealth Frigates to Philippines , Vietnam in past have expressed interest in Purchase of Naval Ships from India , but India was always reluctant in past not to upset china .
American Defence analyst in past have warned China that continuous Bullying tactics with neighbors will not work for long and countries with common interest will come together under umbrella of one Military Alliance against China, which will off course have blessing of United states and it seems that all countries who consider China has a threat now are also working together now and it will be matter of few years before China sees an anti-China Military Alliance in the Region.
