Delta means the virus has a different spike shape than alpha and beta variants. Biontech and Moderna can detect the shape hence are effective against new virus.
And lies the problem with chinese vaccines. They make vaccines in classical way, they must grow the new virus in tanks. Then killing the virus without destroying the spikes. That takes months or years to develop new vaccines. With lower efficacy.
