The rail was prized $522 million, but now $900 million. I won’t be surprised if the Chinese company increases to $1 billion. Nothing with quality made in China and customer with sensitive wallet. the quality is stated in the contract. You can’t demand more money ...saying ...Hey made in China is worth!

I would say that is cheating the customer. Selling a product cheap then increasing the prize during implementation. If the customer refuses to pay, the contractor leaves a ruine behind.

I bet that is the first rail project that is given to a Chinese company and that will be the last.

Yes I read in many places where China is seen as the new messiah in Africa. China will help Africa to become a manufacturing giant. However I am willing to bet $1,000, the likelihood dinosaur return to earth is greater than Africa becoming a manufacturing powerhouse that can produce everything. If I remember the share of Africa in global manufacturing was 2 percent a decade ago, now thanks to China assistance to Africa, the continent share shrinks to 1 percent.
