China ambassador blames Rohingya insurgents for Myanmar crisis

What is a neutral China? What should be their reaction if we start arming Arakan rebels?

A neutral China is a China try to not interfere into other countries politic when it is possible. When the Arakan rebels and the Myanmar government were fighting with each other and a lot of civilians were forced to flee to China, China opened it arms and provided shelter, water, food and safety to these civilians without questions.

And now to answer the whatif question of Bangladesh providing arms to the Arakan rebels. Well, that would be a purely political relationship issue between Bangladesh and Myanmar. It doesn't really affect China's relationship with any of these two countries.

. .
Technically, Mr. Mingquiang is not wrong. Quite a surprising statement considering that it is not China's nature to opine on such issues.

It not China's nature as well to tell others what to do. They just like watch as if they are waiting for something (which I find a little creepy).

China is not supposed to act divine and it has no right to define the ARSA fighting against the MM army as the source of all problems. Rather, it is the long-term MM military terrorizing the Rohingyas that initiated the trouble in the first place many decades ago. But, why the civilians have to suffer collateral punishment at the hands of the MM military for the so-called crimes of the ARSA nationalists? China is showing its true color for sure.

I once saw a video about a very young Rohingya child. He was asked as to why he fled Myanmar. He replied that if they didn't flee, they would have hacked them into pieces.

The great thing about young children is that they know who not to trust. More so than us adults. We can say that what he said is the truth. The poor child must have witnessed horrific things that no child should face.

Now, 'hacked'? One would say that this was by a sharp edged weapon. It is unlikely that the military would use such a weapon as a primary. In a separate report, it was said that the military wanted to enter a mosque in Rakhine, but were subsequently denied entry. Then, an angry mob showed up.

This says that those civilian Rohingyas fleeing were not necessarily only fleeing from Tatmadaw. No, it was something else entirely. A mob of angry civilians sounds more plausible. The law & order situation in Rakhine is not good. Raiding a police station certainly did not help. There must be a central clan leader who is heading these mobs. And we need to identify who this individual is, and what his/her connections are. Anyone know who this person is?

China doesn't like to interfere into other people's domestic issues. Good or bad. Yes, there are already violence from both sides, but China also believes that Myanmar and Bangladesh government and people have enough intelligent and resolve to solve this issue peacefully. However, China can't be critical of what Myanmar's government doing because foreign entities will use that to attack the relationship between two countries. Like how foreign entities undermined the dam that China was building in Myanmar. If China is too critical of Myanmar then Myanmar will shut off the oil pipeline to China and then sells oil to India instead.

That is utter Chinese BS. China DOES support Myanmar genocide by using veto power in UN; thus supporting Myanmar domestic issue. Who does Chinese are kidding?

All that BD needs is a neutral China.

BD can take care of that mutlti-ethnic nonsense Barman entity called Myanmar once and for all. 160 million BD'shis versus 35-40 million or so Barmans will be no contest.

The country is so ridiculous that it has been fighting separatists ever since independence.

China should abstain and BD would be satisfied

I am afraid that the Chinese are not really helping themselves in the long run. They have jumped into bed with a multi-ethnic nonsense of a country that can betray them at any time, and annoying a country like BD that has throughout history been on friendly terms with them.

China ususally doesn't care about the conflict of two other countries unless it directly affect them.If we support rebel in Chin state of myanmar which share border with BD then China will not even raise a brow. But Rakhine is different, this is where China is planning a sea port.So if BD start supporting Rohingya rebel then China will become active and will try to mediate between BD and myanmar and will create pressure on both party to find a solution.

Rather China would arm Myanmar to the teeth to crush any and all insurgency in Arakan. Bangladesh's best bet is to get the support from the West.

There is too much at stake for China in Myanmar.

1) Gas pipe line from Arkan to China

2) Bypass route to strait of Malacca

3) Naval base in Bay of Bengal to get a foot hold in IOR

For China, Myanmar is more important than Pakistan.

If Bangladeshis think that China would support Bangladesh over Myanmar then may god bless them.

.
Chinese are stupid and blind to the crisis but then again they harvest organs so not surprised at their stance. rohingas are not rich so no one cares. if they were a wealthy nation this wouldn't have happened. Indians are dancing but they also support the Burmese in this slaughter.

.
China blames ARSA for current crisis.....therefore China = Neutral. LOL

If India did the same....India = Neutral? (We all know the pavlovian reaction of the banglapithecus ingrates).

Hypocrisy is quite funny to see, it has long passed the give a F mark lol.

@Rajaraja Chola

I mean look at this typical BD forum idiot running away after being exposed:

https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/bang...for-heist-money-recovery.516099/#post-9838237

China will continue to veto any UNSC censure of Myanmar just like they did in March this year....and the same BD clowns will say thats "neutral" too.

Myanmar can launch Chinese-sourced rocket artillery into BD (after Myanmar has conducted tons of airspace violations already) and China can release a statement supporting Myanmar tackling ARSA....and these BD clowns will still be hollering that China is neutral. Most shameless people on Earth ever....but what can you expect from the 3 million genohoax crybabies. @Aung Zaya

It shows just how badly BD is losing now. Thanks SHW! Keep at it. Next year is going to be even more fun. Just watch:P

This is what I said in another thread about geo politics and how China will bear bigger burden than its short sighted interest.

As fogs are clearing a bit, more and more it appearing as part of bigger geo political game. US need to use new motivational tool and incidents to recruit terror bands in its upcoming spoiler role against BRI and EURasian union. That means Chinese Uighur region and Central Asian underbelly (along with Afghanistan) are the targets. US and its indian ally is counting on Chinese and Russian veto against any UNSC resolution on Myanmar. US, its indian and Israeli terror partners will use the Rohingya genocide and Chinese (potential) veto as tool for new recruit and direct terror. Can China see through; that is unknown but Chinese adamant stand in the name of "self interest" in Myanmar will be bigger burden at the end.

Are you stupid or what? Crushing an insurgency is not a short time affair specially when it get the outside support.Look what mighty America has achieved in Afghanistan and Iraq. Why China will arm myanmar to widen the conflict when it's interest would be to return to peace as early as possible? Even a low grade insurgency is bad for the economic project which China is trying to put in Arakan.China's only viable option will be to mediate between Bangladesh and Myanmar to find a solution.

He is not stupid but trying to create rift between BD and China over this.

Look no further than IS being bombed in Syria by Russia to know the results..

Sustaining an insurgency is not a kids play.. It requires International Political support, planning, recruiting, training, funding, arming...continuously and repeatedly

And you think Bangladesh would be able to handle the insurgency against Myanmar with China & Russia supporting it? Good luck with that.

Additionally, One resolution in USNC against Bangladesh as being a sponsor of terror moved by China, Russia at the request of Myanmar would make Bangladesh run pillar to post.

Again, I repeat if there is anyone who can help Bangladesh it is the West else its game up.

Your hate for India has made you completely blind.

There are 40 active insurgency in myanmar.Do you think they are thriving without any outside support? Who told you Bangladesh will support insurgency by declaring in UN general assembly session? It will be covert and Bangladesh will enter negotiation as a party who want to stabilize the restive region of myanmar as a neighboring country who bearing the brunt by hosting the scores of refugee. And declaring a country 'sponsor of terrorism' is not that easy. You are sweating for 70 years to put that tag on Pakistan.Have you succeeded? Not to long ago, you were accusing us of maintaining 100+ training camp of North-east rebel within Bangladesh territory, have you managed to term us as 'sponsor of terrorism' then?

China – The People's Republic of China allegedly gave logistical aid to the Communist Party of Burma (CPB) during the communist insurgency in Myanmar, in support of the party's Marxist-Leninist-Maoist ideology.[6][110] After the CPB's armed wing agreed to disarm in 1988, China was accused by Myanmar of continuing to support insurgent groups operating along its border, such as the United Wa State Army.[111]

In 2016, China pledged to support Myanmar's ongoing peace process by encouraging China-friendly insurgent groups to attend peace talks with the Burmese government and by sending more soldiers to secure its border with Myanmar.[1][2][3] China also offered $3 million USD to fund the negotiations. However, the Burmese government has expressed suspicion over China's involvement in the peace process, due to China's alleged links to the Northern Alliance and the United Wa State Army.[35]

Thailand – Thailand had been a vocal supporter of various insurgent groups in Myanmar, condemning actions done by the then ruling military juntas and allowing weapons and ammunition to be smuggled through its border through lax enforcement.[5] However in 1995, the Thai government secured its border with Myanmar and stopped all logistical support going through Thailand after they signed a major economic deal with Myanmar.[4]

United States – Starting in 1951, the CIA began aiding Kuomintang soldiers that fled to Myanmar from China following the advance of Chinese communist forces into Yunnan province. This includedOperation Paper, which involved supplying them with non-lethal aid via Thailand until 1953, when they airlifted 7,000 soldiers to Taiwan and ended the operation.[6]

Others: Dave Everett was a member of the Australian Special Air Service Regiment before leaving in 1986 and joining the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) as a mercenary. Everett fought alongside the KNLA under the alias "Steve" and trained insurgents, helping them improve their marksmanship and teaching them how to use claymore anti-personnel mines. In order to fund his time with the KNLA, Everett perpetrated several robberies in Australia with the help of accomplices and took piloting lessons so he could smuggle weapons into Myanmar. Everett returned to Australia a year later in 1987.[13][Videos 1]

Who told you Bangladesh will support insurgency by declaring in UN general assembly session?

Did I say that? All insurgencies are expected to be covert.

It will be covert and Bangladesh will enter negotiation as a party who want to stabilize the restive region of myanmar as a neighboring country who bearing the brunt by hosting the scores of refugee.

I will see when Bangladesh starts one of its own without the support from the West.

And declaring a country 'sponsor of terrorism' is not that easy. You are sweating for 70 years to put that tag on Pakistan.Have you succeeded?

Comparing apples and oranges.

Pakistan has support of both West and China.

Who from P5 would support Bangladesh? China & Russia would just need West to stay neutral to declare Bangladesh as a state sponsoring terror.

Not to long ago, you were accusing us of maintaining 100+ training camp of North-east rebel within Bangladesh territory, have you managed to term us as 'sponsor of terrorism' then?

Do you really think India wants Bangladesh to be declared as state sponsor of terror? You should be out of your mind. The only country that India actively pursues is Pakistan. And here India has been failing as it does not have political support.
