Catholic Bishop conference in Kerala issues warning against selfies and 'Love Jihad'

1. So suddenly from playing Equal Equal you are now back tracking to say "Yes NSS doest have the history of issuing these types of directives".

What more proof of Lies and Hypocrisy is required ?

2. Your claims of NSS is a "hindu organization" and "KCBC" is a caste organisation have ALSO been proven as LIES. KCBC is a RELIGIOUS Organization. NSS is NOT.

These LIES that were made to dilute the seriousness Fatwas of a Christian religious order is the "Propaganda", and the Expose was of the Lies.

I think that is pretty straight forward and Blunt.

I didnt say that in first place in my post.. all my reference was on political not social (for that i think a little grammer understanding would have been fine)

NSS is ofcourse Hinduism based organisation with a caste as basis.

And nobody has linked a fatwa with NSS and the church association... All i told was political blessings...

i cant repeat it or spoon feed on what i have told u again and again...

Ever heard of Lord manavan?

Just like Catholics church... catholic church is not representative of whole Christians hence the comparison is valid.

Again its not church but its the organisation of catholics....caste in another way.

How is that secular?

Where did i say anything about Fatwa... If u follow kerala politics, the NSS used to say we made the CM and party leaders seeks blessings and opinions on various issues from NSS headquarters in perunna.. i merely stated this is not happening and nowadays the congress and allies especially allies like Kerala congress seeks blessings from these christian organisations since the coalition has been dependent on Kerala congress Mani group who is guided by church organisation of a particular group like Muslim league gets its direction from Thangal family.

I dont know what nonsense you decoded from my earlier post and i dont know you know anything about Kerala politics.

@SpArK he is our old Lord Manvan.Arguing with him is just a waste of time.

Catholic Bishop conference in Kerala issues warning against selfies and 'Love Jihad'

Kerala Catholic Bishops’ Conference (KCBC) has issued a circular that is to be read in catholic churches in the state against the trend of selfies and 'dangerous love affairs'

The circular warns the younger generation about selfies and says that social media and mobile phones can mislead the younger generations.

“Through selfies children expose themselves to others, this should not be allowed. Parents should control them and teach them not to get involved in such practices . These practices can attract people and they will swoop down like vultures” says the circular written by Bishop Vincent Samuel.

The circular also warns catholic parents that their children are living in dangerous times, and that cases of fake love affairs which lead to religious conversions are increasing.

Through fake love affairs they can convert your children to other religion and later lead to terrorism and other anti social activities. So beware and teach them to stick on to catholic beliefs” says the circular.

It also urges parents to hold back their children to catholic belief and to live according to the norms of Christianity.

I am not sure why you are blabbering about politics when this thread is about how Christian Religious Church organizations are issuing dictates to people that pertains to their personal life.

NSS is a Cast based organisation that HAPPENS to be Hindus. It promotes unification and social well being of the CASTE and NOT HINDU RELIGION. ....... your OWN POST says its aim is "Let the whole world be happy forever" not "Hindus of the world unite" :coffee:

KCBS OTOH is distinctly a RELIGIOUS CHRISTIAN Organization. My assertion that your attempts to disingenuously link NSS and KCBS as "equal equal" is Validated by your own admission.

Similar to "Taliban Hinduta" and "Nazi Hinduta" equal equal Spin.

Please take a note that nowhere in the news or report below has been used the term 'love jihad', rather 'dangerous love affair'. Attributing 'dangerous love affairs' to 'love jihad' is extreme level of intellectual dishonesty that is specifically targeting the Muslims. The title suggests as if the Bishops are only concerned about the forced conversion of Christian youth to Muslims and not other religion whereas the statement has no such mention.

Cardinal protests against forced conversions to Hinduism

Cardinal Baselios Cleemis Thottunkal urges Indian prime minister Narendra Modi to intervene

The president of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India has criticised forced conversions of Christians to Hinduism.

Cardinal Baselios Cleemis Thottunkal, major archbishop of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, said that he was gravely concerned that “conversion events are being held under the label of ‘homecoming'”.

He urged Indian prime minister Narendra Modi to intervene to address concerns surrounding “forcible conversions” across India, citing reports of such actions in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Kerala states.

Some Hindu leaders have said that India is a Hindu nation and the “reconversions” are simply reclaiming people who originally were Hindu. Some have called for a ban on conversions, since they say Indians should be Hindus.

Mohan Bhagwat, head of the National Volunteer Corps, known as the ideological fountainhead of Hindu nationalism, said: “Those who strayed were lured away. They were looted from us. When the thief is being caught and my property has been recovered, when I am taking back my own property, what is new in it?”

Reports surfaced on December 9 that 57 migrant Muslim families were “reconverted” under the watchful eyes of members of a Hindu fundamentalist group in Uttar Pradesh. Other reports referred to ghar vapasi, or reconversion, of Christians by Hindu fundamentalist groups in December.

Yes, OP has not changed it but it is still an intellectual dishonesty hence I have requested Mods to intervene.

the religious are exploiting selfies to impose more moralistic restrictions on the ladies... i am against selfies because of the reasons discussed in the earlier thread.

Looks like sense of privacy is vanishing fast. Shooting photos and sharing them on the internet is beyond my understanding at-least. This problem is compounded by the fact that silly young couples shoot their intimate moments and share them too, not realizing that once it is on the internet, nobody can stop their spread. This has resulted in huge social ramification where the couples had broke apart and in many cases the girls committed suicides. This is a serious issue and we should not sweep it under the rug in the pretext of religious exploitation.

what you say is true though suiciding comes from the cruel environment of south asian traditional "culture" with its elements of big oppressive families, nosy selfish neighbours, 100 tv channels, useless legal systems, stupid elders etc... and these must be eradicated.

but i agree with you about "vanishing sense of privacy"... why should day-to-day moments be uploaded... this is like how every idiot creates a blog or has a twitter account... this is like how idiots walk on roads yakking loudly on cell phones as if they are very important to society.

when i occassionally go to a shopping mall, there are families or others taking pictures of each other, smiling insanely, with the background being the opening to the floor above/below or some silly colorful cardboard cut-out with lights... what are they being so happy about... how is their cell phone model any different from another cell phone model... it is just a shopping mall and not some beautiful sunset by a sand dune on the sahara.

all these are "badtameezi", lack of respect for others in public space, lack of subtle behavior ( nazaakat ).

technology should be radically simplified and should not be consumerist... the ordinary people should not be allowed to do what they please... they should be politically guided to better behavior.

No, I will tell you why you requested action. It's because you are a bigot and can't stand criticism.

Ever heard of Lord manavan?
Actually he does make sense at times. And that makes him more irritating. :D
