These days car manufacturers give names which means something to them and nothing to the customers. Passat, Jetta etc sound funny to me. The sexiest name of all is BMW-X6, i like the vehicle and its name.
I checked lodgy's pictures, it looks long and spacious, but I still think duster would have been better- parking wise.
I liked Lodgy's features: Cruise Control, Parking assist and Navmag.
1) parking assistance- Ah! I <3 this feature. Somebody like me needs it for sure.
2) Navmag: Does that mean in-built GPS?
3) Cruise control- this is something I use sporadically in my vehicle, because I have heard of many incidents when the cruise control jammed the brakes. I am not sure if you will use cruise control in India unless you're going for a long trip....on a smooth road. In and around kerala, smooth roads are a luxury. I am not sure which city you live in?(most prolly Kolkatta I guess). Kolkatta's the only metropolitan city in India that I have never visited so I do not know anything about it.
Are these features included in the basic model or did they charge you extra? Just curious!!!
Well my wife teaches under-privileged kids at the local school part time and I pitch in with my friends by taking kids off on a field trip every Saturday. So we require lots of space and Lodgy would fit 6 kids for sure with me and driver on the front seat.
Parking assist is a blessing and cruise control is something my wife insisted on to give her feet a rest on long drives. Roads are comparatively smoother in south Delhi. Kolkata, I frequently visit as almost my whole extended family stays there.
The top model included all the goodies and set me back by almost 13 lakhs.
