No bro, it is true. ISNA made a mistake. It's even on Canadian media.
The US, Canada, and the UK routinely do this to our Islamic organizations.
US shut down a Muslim Brotherhood organization "Holy Land Foundation" in 2001 based on the fact that it had to deal with Hamas to get money to the poor in Gaza. The US declared it a terrorist organization and confiscated its funds, after Ramadan too.
Most US and Canadian Muslim organizations have ties to both Muslim Brotherhood and Jamat e Islami. MB is currently banned in several countries like UAE, KSA, etc. but in the US MB functions as a support base for KSA with full US blessing. US used these same MB networks in the US to smuggle weapons into Syria.
ISNA began with MAS and MSA, two organizations tied to MWL of KSA. ICNA was started by Jamat e Islami in the US.
Western governments use MB when it suits them in Libya and Syria, and when they want to punish them or gain favor with foreign governments, they go after their charity organizations.
The crux of this whole case seems to be the erroneous idea that Jamat e Islami is a militant group, which it is not. It is a mainstream political party in Pakistan, with offshoots in Kashmir, India, and Bangladesh.

You are talking about the same Canadian government which is trying to ban BDS. Freedom of speech is only for their accepted causes.
