You know the Kashmir is currently producing around 2000 MW and another 950MW project is about to complete in near future. The whole Kashmir required less then 500-MW but still they are facing more than 12 hours load sheding?Hydro-Electricity and Human Resource; so building some smaller 10-20 MW dams and opening quality vocational training institutes + Universities in AJK might not be such a bad idea !

If the burden is equally shared; what is the advantage to Kashmiris for giving their resources and also for how many years it would be like this?No I didn't know that but the more the merrier because Pakistan needs its.
So far as 12 hours of load-shedding is concerned; because the dams were built by pooling together resources of the whole of Pakistan and not just one administrative unit so the burden of power outages must be shared by all as well otherwise its not as if AJK solely or even primarily contributed towards the construction of these dams !

Ok, tell me one thing, Are you doing the same with KPK? Is Punjab just sharing the burden and not getting any benefits of its resources giving to Sindh? Is Baluchistan not getting any royalty against its resources giving to other provinces? Why Kashmir is getting only burden and nothing else?Without the rest of Pakistan pitching in to exploit those resources to begin with there would be no resources for the Kashmiris to share !
The Dams got built not only because of AJK's contribution but because of the contribution of everyone therefore this notion of those dams belonging to AJK and presenting it as if AJK is doing the rest of Pakistan a favor is illogical !
The burden will be shared for as long as there is a burden to share; when the power outages stop....they stop !

The Azad Kashmir government has sought an increase in Mangla Dam royalty.Isn't AJK getting electricity from the dams ?
If AJK isn't getting the power or the royalty - They should. Period !
The Azad Kashmir government has sought an increase in Mangla Dam royalty.
AJK Finance Minister Chaudhry Latif Akbar on Friday asked the federal government to give 45 per cent royalty to Azad Jammu and Kashmir as it provides to the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Addressing the post-budget news conference, the finance minster said if the federal government accepts our demand then we would be in a position to present surplus budget.
He said Kashmir Council is not paying the share of taxes worth Rs1.50 billion to the AJK government.
Akbar said the AJK government will announce a monetary policy for banks to facilitate the people who have more than Rs200 billion deposits in their branches across the disputed state.
The minister asked the banks to introduce a scheme of small loans aimed at making the remote areas people economically sound and stable.
Responding to a question the minister said the state government was committed to reducing the non-developmental expenditures. However, he clarified that 80 per cent of the non-developmental budget is spent on salaries and perks of government employees.
