British Prime Minister David Cameron has been humiliatingly snubbed by Pakistan as he wanted to visit the Islamic state after seeing troops in Afghanistan but President Asif Ali ZardariAsif Ali Zardari rejected the idea, claimed British newspapers Daily Mail and Daily Mirror quoting diplomatic sources.

According to papers, Cameron wanted to visit Pakistan to try a patch up Pakistani leadership, after he had accused Pakistan of ‘facing both ways on terror’ during a visit to India – its mortal enemy.

However, the Pakistani Foreign Office in Islamabad described the news item as baseless, saying the British PM was expected to visit Pakistan soon for which the dates were being finalised. Government-owned APP said British Prime Minister David Cameron telephoned President Zardari on Wednesday night. The two leaders discussed bilateral matters as well as the situation in the region.

The Daily Mail said, “Cameron often tries to squeeze several countries into a single foreign visit, as the busy PM has to try and deal with the recession and cuts agenda at home. His last trip to the region ended with Mr Cameron causing great offence: first to Pakistan for casting doubt on its commitment to fighting terror, and second to Israel for criticising their treatment of the Palestinians while he was addressing Turkey, which is also a Muslim country.”

Later, at a press conference in the Presidential Palace in Kabul, Cameron failed to repeat his controversial remark that Pakistan faced ‘both ways on terror’, as he hailed its ‘progress’ in clearing up terrorism camps in the Swat valley.

Whitehall sources admitted, “They said the timing wasn’t great for them. They were not sure the prime minister would be there,” reported the Daily Mail.

The PM was questioned by Afghan media about how the British could use its influence with Islamabad to stop the radical Islamic schools.

He replied: “We do have a very long-term relationship with Pakistan. One of our largest embassies anywhere in the world is in Islamabad.”

Cameron also had to sidestep embarrassing questions over the Wikileaks files, in which President Karzai had questioned the effectiveness of British forces in the Helmand province.

The British PM shrugged off the comments as not relevant and referring to a time when his country’s troops were deployed too thinly across the region. the Nation reported.

Cameron refused visit to Pakistan

First he will excuse for his word about Pakistan in India & than Pakistan have to consider his desire to visit Pakistan. :azn:

oh well we cannot afford to spoil our relationships with UK so forget about denying a visit to British Prime Minister for any other reason but mutual understanding by the leaders of both nations

He hasn't said anything that will make us the enemy of United Kingdom and we will boycott our relationships with them... newspapers are spreading a propaganda and nothing else

It could be for some general reason and not in protest of his remarks in India

.
Didn't expect this from this hijra government. But good job by humiliating Cameron.

.
you know what for me this is a matter of pride it's time to start sticking up for our country screw cameron until he apologizes to pakistan he should not be allowed to step foot there nor should we even allow coconuts like baroness warsi to enter pakistan either. If we give him a good slap in return next time he'll think twice before opening his big mouth.

.
I still to understand should Pakistan reply in the same tone to all the leaders which include the following and refuse their visas to visit Pakistan which includes

Uk is already in the list.
UAE being named as one of the supporters in BLA.
France with Sarkozy's statement
Iran for retracting from Kashmir statement
US for statements from Obama and Hillary.

But does it not make Pakistan to go into isolation.

What is this about Afghanistan asking London to use their influence with Islamabad to clean up camps? Afghans should stop acting like poor victims and blaming Pakistan all the time, they should accept that they themselves have far more home-grown terrorists then Pakistan does and stop trying to always show Pakistan in a bad light. It is very easy for Afghanistan to show themselves as victims and blame Pakistan because the whole world needs a scapegoat for their failure in the country and Pakistan is the most convenient option.

. .
I think Cameron is refused due to bad press coverage to Zardari on his trip to UK.
It is all personal, exploiting official authority.

While only Krishna has the honor to humiliate Pakistan in side Pakistan standing next to Qureshi of Pakistan.

Shame on Pakistan foreign office.

Actually there isn't much left to get from Britain anyway.

They should know we are no longer their colony.

Than you should have the balls to issue a simple counter statement to his humiliation towards the nation.

Wait a moment India regularly issue even more allegations but Pakistan provide India multi billion dollar transit aid annually.

Why such contrast... why favor India over UK.

by making them angry? If you can solve the matters out by making friends... why make enemies?

Protest was done those days... if they wanted they could harm Britain's interest on political grounds... why refuse a visit for the Prime Minister?

I think we did talk about this matter to death couple of days ago so no need to start again. I think there would be another reason for the denial of visit and not to protest against his statement

Good we don't want this jerk in Pakistan anyways stay home chap lolz.
