Well Hasina seem to have made up her mind to relay on Putin and Modi and navigate her way through. Her visit to Japan also didn't go as she hoped. Though IMO Western countries are only giving lip service to the cause of democracy in BD which is literally non-existent now. Good news is Hasina doesn't have a successor. Joy will simply run off to US when push comes to shove while BAL doesn't have the electoral base to compete in inclusive fair national election. If only opposition could muster a strong enough protest , witch Hasina would have been long gone. What a sad state of affairs.

The japanese gov didn't release any statements and i don't trust awami media such as BDnews24 whose lies have been caught red handed with the last being distortion of facts regarding UK visit. If the british foreign ministry didn't release any statements we would also be calling her visit to UK a success. Don't count much of 6bn $$ aid pledge. Wait for Abe's visit in September to make any conclusions.

yeah u can say that. But lets see. Japan may have some business interest as well that transcends its commitment to democracy. Abe also is fomenting ties with modi's India and congress did spent huge sums lobbying in western capitals for hasina before jan 5. May be they have won over japan on this issue.But as i said lets see whether the 6bn $$ pledge is at all true or not.
