BYD sold 25,662 NEV in China in April, Tesla only sold 11671

More like Chinese are losing appetite for Tesla products. You shall praise more of CPC to save Tesla instead of posting negative news about China. CPC can easily make Tesla not even sold a single car in China later. You wanna try? :lol:

Btw, Wuling Mini EV is the king in China and now exported to EU. Dont make CPC angry, it can stop TEsla sales in China anything like H&M! :enjoy:

This will all be moot when giga Berlin opens and Tesla doesn't have to play musical chairs with dividing the Shanghai production output between China and Europe.

US demand so high in the US we need another factory here too

Sorry, China is the biggest market for EV and Chinese are more willing to buy an EV than US and EU combined. China market leads the world. You owned China market, u owned the EV world.

In China, government are more willing to invest into EV infrastructure while in US and EU. They are not going to match the kind of investment CPC puts in. That is why EV ownership in China in terms of sales are much higher. American and European are more hesitant to buy an EV.

I noticed that, too. The title is simply an outright lie. First, it got the Tesla number wrong. Second it compares BYD's NEV number with Tesla's BEV number.

You were but you lost it last year. The EU is snatching up EVs. That's why Tesla is shipping Shanghai cars to the EU. Tesla can't make them fast enough in their two factories and so has to hand them out piecemeal.

Wuling Mini EV is in a totally different class. It is closer to a scooter than a normal passenger car.

Um..BYD sold 149,379 from Jan-April including gasoline cars.
Tesla sold 180,338 EVs in just Jan-March.

Don't compare that sh*t "faker EV" company to Tesla . They are not in the same league. Any growth Tesla sees in China is just icing on the EV cake that even BYD can't imagine. They are lucky to have a tiny EV cupcake.

You choose whatever that suits you. But fact is , it is an EV car, 4 wheels, roof top, aircon and can carry 4 passenger by theory.
Playing trickery is not very productive. By changing definitions, you can compare Ford Mustang with actual horses.

With 25,662 vehicles sold, BYD’s new energy vehicle (NEV) business scored a 97.48% year-on-year sales surge in April, thanks to the precipitous rise in the PV sales. Among the new energy PVs sold last month, there were 16,114 BEVs (+61.69% YoY) and 8,920 PHEVs (+288.5% YoY). However, CV sales fell 14.32% to only 628 units.

China Passenger Car Association data show Tesla sold 25,845 EVs in April, down 27% from 35,478 in March, but up from January's 15,484 and February's 18,318. But the actual decline was far worse.

Tesla shipped out 14,174 cars to Europe in April. In prior reports, CPCA sales excluded Tesla exports, but apparently they were included in April. That means China sales plunged a massive 67% month-to-month sales decline to 11,671.

EU is not a market US can control. China EV are fighting for this turf too but China market, CPC can shut off Tesla anytime they want. German still export large number of combustion car to China market so there is no way they dare to restrict China EV flooding into EU.

China is still the largest EV single market in the world.

nio is doing very well in april even with their current expensive starting price around $70k. i bet their sales will be double or triple with their new cheaper et7 model.

Thats so true, I bet that in US market, people would rather buy horses than buying Wuling mini EV :lol:
