its because if he had developed south punjab roads, or even improved the 1122 rescue who's ambulances have poor maintainance, or he had spent on to improve the quality of already existing schools or hospitals or medical staff or tried to eliminate loadshedding instead of crying about punjab discrimination and that other provinces eat all punjab electricity, he wouldnt have got such a publicity, reforming the police system instead of making model police station with same police corrupt guys, developing something country's first even it is marred by corruption, the total un needed funding on un needed project, which has no vision for future use, like lahore metro system etc, he still has now so called transformed pakistan and brought so called innovation and so called bright ideas.. so it will be needed to be chow cased and made slogans of innovation and genius of the nawaz bradran

It is a good project no doubt. But just look a his govt performance in other sectors.

Remember dengue, Punjab Cardiology Institute fake medicine scam and the recent poisonous cough syrup?

There are huge problems in setting priorities with this ruling elite. They want big ticket items only to get publicity. The inauguration so close to the election is also the indication of intention to cash in this public spending.

Questions are also very legitimate about the long term viability of this project and the maintenance of infrastructure around this project. Pakistan after all is failing on the economic front only because of these corrupt and self centred leaders.

You cannot doubt that corruption took place in this project along with laptops scheme, Ashyana, Sasti Roti and Yellow Cab...and buses could have been sourced locally, metal could have been brought from somewhere other than Ittefaq Mills etc, but you cannot deny that it will benefit the people of lahore in the long run...

and regarding Buses there are EURO II or EURO III standard engines. Can you tell me where such engines are manufactured in Pakistan????

Don't be so critical guys . Some Development is Better than nothing . There was Hundreds , even thousand of crores ghapla in CWG delhi ( common wealth Games) . But work was one and I can Attest to the fact that there has been quantum leap in development of Infrastructure of Delhi from 5 to 7 years back to now . Metros connecting whole Delhi . Ring road across city and Flyover after every couple of kilometres to help you escape nasty traffic jams (though they still happen) .

We should take it by default ki politicians paisa khayengey . but even if Minuscule effort is being done and can be seen THANK GOD Saarey paisey nae khaey .
