now days very few bgb personal deployed in border area. most of the bgb deployed inside the country to help police. most important differance betwen BSF & BGB is that bsf has shoot on sight order but our bgb has none. our bgb is less powerful compare to old BDR (COMMAND). againts all the ods last year bgb clash with bsf but our P.M. (hasina) take that maters to his hand and then tenshion is gone..........

one last think we dont need any pakistani rangers, we just need the polatical will..........

....sounds like a propaganda.....because, (unlike Pakistani Defence Forces) Indian Defence forces are accountable to the civilian Govt., if they do anything wrong, they will be prosecuted........therefore, Pakistani Rangers/Army may indulge in senseless killing, NOT Indian forces.....
I think we should wait for Indian version of the story before coming to any conclusion.....if Bangladeshi BGB is not making up the story i.e, if BSF indeed killed the person, then clarifications from BSF will surely come....

On topic, there is difference between a civilian nearing border, an illegal settler, a smuggler, a civilian official, a paramilitary personnel, a regular army personnel and a military vehicle crossing border. There are different orders for different people. If order for BSF is to shoot a Bangladeshi civilian for crossing border, well it is extremely inhumane and stems from sheer arrogance of being a larger country. I feel really sorry. It is better to arrest him, interrogate, make an official complaint to Bangladesh and arrange a release. That is how civilized people do. India-Bangladesh border is not a hostile one like with Pakistan. Why shoot? Why not arrest and deport?

You can't conclude that he was a farmer just bcz some Bangladeshi media reported that,there has been some recent attempt by Bangladeshi infiltratrators/terrorist to carry out terror acts in India and B.D which were foiled by B.S.F and intelligence agencies.

Why do Indians kill on their borders without thinking they are taking a life for no reason. Nobody is invading anyone. Arrest and deport back.

The only explanation is BSF guards get drunk on duty and do this. The same happens on Pak border, they will randomly start firing after a few hours of drinks in the night.

After a Pak - India cricket match they start firing to kill indiscriminately. This has happened in the last 4 occasions at least. I really don't understand Indian blood lust after drinking. Are you unable to handle your alcohol?

Please arrange a visit to working boundary area. Ask your BSF. They will tell you. Living somewhere in Delhi doing some office job in IT department is lot more different than being there.
