Bruce Riedel An Impossible Partnership?: Pakistan, America and the Future of South Asia

.
Even so, this claim has not kept up with the time. Pakistan no longer supports such groups, even if it may have done so in the Pakistan.

Rabzon posted several sources in another thread claiming that the ISI/Pakistani military is trying to mend (maintain?) ties with the Afghan Taliban and the Haqqani network to oppose the TTP. I can't post links yet, the thread title is-
Pakistan's War......AQ, AT, TTP and USA?.

That notwithstanding, what about support for terrorists on the eastern front? Has the ISI abandoned support for the Punjab based terror groups or are they still used to create strategic depth against India?

.
You wanted recent, I gave you recent, now you are deflecting to military funding, US has also funded ruthless dictatorships, does that absolve those dictatorships as well?

Well military funding is not a deflection, it is one of my central arguments. To be clear, what you've provided are allegations and not evidence in itself. It is not clear why US military would make such claims if they only make it sparingly (i.e. once every other year), never stick to it and never do anything about it. It may be pressure tactics for other things, however it is clear that it is not the official American state stance.

He is on record, saying that war against Commie Soviets was run by Pakistani prez Gen Zia ulHaq and not USA.

the same commies that India was a lap ornament for.

Except for defense and space research what else were the soviets aiding India in?.

While otoh the lapdog was running errands and running terrorist training camps and killing fellow musalmans and cleaning the sh!t left behind by their aakaa....but how does that take away from the topic which is proxies rub by the PakistanI army/intelligence complex?.

I'm sure he didn't say it wasn't financed by the U.S. if he did, please do post a link.
Hamid Gul has said US was providing the funding but he was deciding who gets the weapons and they were questioning him about why he was sending more to the religious fundamentalists instead of the moderate fighters.

Looks like those "ornamental lapdogs" are doing better than you and your general's decision to support fundamentalism has burnt you.

USA took OBL out in your country in a military garrison.

They did so without prior approval or insight to your GOVT leaders ISI and ARMY.

THE USA did not trust you.

AS FOR FUNDING YOUR ARMY MILITARY they will do this UNTIL they are finished in the REGION

they will then stop FUNDING YOU and turn their backs on you.

FROM what I here the pak army are so desperate for money from USA they hid OBL to keep the money coming in TO PROLONG the war.

Personally I BELIEVE like 99% OF NON PAKISTANIS in the world firmly believe that certain people in your FRACTITIOUS divided country,,,,, knew where OBL was and that certain people in your country where involved in hiding him.

Then why is it not the official US government claim that Pakistan sheltered OBL?

AS FOR FUNDING YOUR ARMY MILITARY they will do this UNTIL they are finished in the REGION

Maybe they will. But I will not believe the claims about the future of a bharati armchair expert

This is just a conspiracy theory and mere conjecture. If US government does not believe Pakistan hid OBL, then any claims to the contrary have to be considered conspriacy theories by default.

Personally I BELIEVE like 99% OF NON PAKISTANIS in the world firmly believe that certain people in your FRACTITIOUS divided country,,,,, knew where OBL was and that certain people in your country where involved in hiding him.

Another conjecture.

Ok there. Keep beating your chest while you're at it, but don't see what that has to do with the thread.

Indian policy on Afghanistan was total hostage of Soviet commies.

Life is kind of wave not as smooth a sine wave but kind of up and down.

If India is doing well today, it shows it had to find another benefactor after the demise of Commie Soviets.

While Pakistan didn't do the flip flop. We have been with the same benefactor all along. hahaha.

We didn't have an afghan policy then.

Then you are not fully aware of the military history.

India had Afghan police since 1947. Sadly you just tried to push the things under the taat of Indian primary school.

Need to study this topic bhai.

Study it.

There was nothing cultured about India-Afghanistan ties from 1947. Cannot be. Indian culture is too sophisticated.

The way you say it is like "cultural ties with N Korea". Now who in the world will have cultured ties with them. only bad ties.
