BRTS Peshawar Saddar Bazaar station and Karachi BRTS Green Line hideous design

BRT Peshawar have 400 on main route alone. But currently only 200 are operating. I don't know why

400 number includes the feeder route buses as well.

There are two type of buses.

- The longer 18 meter buses plying on the main corridor, elevated and at grade crossing all of Peshawar east to west with total length of 27 kms.(3 wheels at one side. 6 wheels total)

-The smaller 14 meter buses for feeder routes, taking the Peshawar traffic from other areas of the city to the main corridor of the BRTS Peshawar...

Many feeder routes are not operational, the reason for 200 buses so far.

-There are some pink buses on feeder routes for women, not operational as yet.

Hayatabad BRT Feeder Routes

Rent-a-cycle option for smaller distance from main station as well...Like take the cycle from one station and leave it on the next station. Not operational yet.

Oh. I thought they were separate. Still, I traveled twice in the BRT. Buses arrive at stations in 2-3 minutes interval. So with this timing even 200 is sufficient. And I am not aware of Orange train or BRTS Karachi but this BRT Peshawar go right in between the Peshawar and passes through major parts of city. That's why I am really impressed with the alignment of track. I also traveled in Islamabad and Lahore metro. I was impressed from Lahore metro at that time. It was very nice. Such projects are need of the but separation won't help. We need to limit the ownership of vehicles. And just pave 2 lines for public/private transport and remaining lines for such buses. BRT pesh, Karachi, Islamabad Lahore metro all are single line which means 2 buses can not take the route simultaneously. This greatly impact the daily ridership capacity. If we have multiple lanes this will double the daily ridership

Yah just saw them parked in Chimkani BRT parking space some days ago. Some 10 buses. Maybe more are parked in other places

Yes right, it cuts through all of Peshawar city and most of it is covered as its sprawl is kind of elongated from east to west and from north to south the sprawl is less...

This route crisscrossing all of the city is Ideal for Peshawar...all that wait and delays are worth it now it seems.
