British man of Pak origin arrested in UK for 'misbehaving with air hostess' on PIA flight

British police on Tuesday arrested a British man of Pakistani origin for allegedly verbally abusing and misbehaving with an air hostess during a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight.

Airline sources said a group of five men of Pakistani origin were travelling together on flight PK-791 from Islamabad to Birmingham.

During the flight, the cabin crew found 2-3 men from the group allegedly smoking in the lavatory, a serious violation of flight rules.

Airline sources claimed that when an air hostess confronted the men over their action, they began misbehaving with her. One man in particular hurled verbal abuse at the flight attendant, they alleged.

The air hostess complained about the incident to the pilot, who upon landing in Birmingham alerted the police.

British police personnel then made a number of passengers connected to the incident disembark and later arrested one man from the group.

When contacted, PIA Spokesman Danyal Gilani said that the airline is looking into the matter.

These same men wouldn't misbehave if they were on another international flight other than a pakistani one.

This epidemic of Pakistanis ( in this case British - Pakistani) misbehaving in pakistan or a Pakistani environment is a symptom of a lack of respect for the rule of law.

A rule of law system which in itself is broken... if you are rich enough you are above the law.

Glad they were arrested.... Hope they figured out the law of Britain isn't as twisted...

100% correct this comes from the lack of law in pakistan whenever they visit Pakistan and they get that treatment of VIP then they conduct them selves in a manner which is disgusting

Most of us think pakistan is corrupt and lawless area where even as kids we were allowed to drive motorcycles and smoke when we visited back home.

Jahil men. Hope there is exemplary punishment for this lot. Unfortunately this seems to be the only way a message gets across to many Pakistanis.

This is not strictly an issues with Pakistani, I've seen Bangladeshis and Indians behave the same way, and they don't necessarily do it on state-owned carriers like PIA, but foreign ones too. It's incredible how the mood of people change soon as they enter the airspace of their native land.

In a rare move, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) CEO on Thursday directed authorities to blacklist passengers who were found smoking on a Birmingham-bound flight.

PIA CEO Nayyar Hayat directed authorities to blacklist passengers with immediate effect, who smoked on flight PK-791 from Islamabad to Birmingham. “The concerned passengers were not only smoking on the flight but also misbehaved with cabin crew,” PIA spokesperson said in a statement.

UK police arrest British-Pakistani man for allegedly assaulting PIA flight attendant

The move comes a day after police in the United Kingdom took a British-Pakistani man into custody for using abusive language and misbehaving with a flight attendant on the PK-791.

According to reports, a group of men were found smoking in an aircraft lavatory during the flight. When confronted by a flight attendant, they began misbehaving and one of them verbally abused her. The incident was reported to the pilot, who alerted British police. The police were on hand at the airport to detain one of the men after the flight landed in Birmingham.
