Breaking News, IAF Jaguar crashes

.
Na its faring way better,,,,keep in mind that we have close to 200 sukhois now and their sortie rate is way more than jags....................4 crashes is not out of ordinary in that scenario

What are the sortie rates of Sukhois and Jags? To my knowledge, both have similar availability and sortie rates.

you would not thank that much if the pilot was a muslim

But jags are only 100 and their availability rate too must be way lower

sukhois crash rate is not worse than other modern aircrafts like typhoons and Rafales. 4 crashes in 15 years.

I think it's more like 12 years. Sukhoi MKIs aren't the same as the older Su 30s which were first bought from Russia.

Nope. Their availability rate is pretty similar to Sukhois. One of the reasons why IAF prefered them over Mig 27s.

Still sukhoi's are double than the jags....................

But the availability rates and sortie rates aren't dependent on fleet strength. They're an average calculated for the entire fleet, and the averages are somewhat close in case of Jags and Su-30s. (I remember the figures are close to 0.6 for both fleets, as in at any given time 6 out of 10 aircraft are operational. Same case with sortie rates)

Perhaps you don't know how things get done at HAL and other DPSUs. I do. And it isn't that other companies sought HAL for their unparalleled expertise. Such contracts have more to do with seeking larger cooperation and participation in the Indian Mil and Civilian aviation sector for these companies.

Also, you'd be surprised and disgusted at the double standards WE indulge in. The best personnel and equipment within HAL are deputed to work on the foreign contracts, and quality checks are much more stringent on these projects as well.

Assumption is mother of all the mess-ups.
And the curse of the intellectual is to be among the cretins...
Have a great day..

even if we take 12 years still 4 crashes are not very unusual. even typhoons has recorded 4 crashes since 2002 and Rafale night even cross that figure

If you are/were a part of these DPSUs, you'd know exactly what I'm talking about. But the question is, are/were you?

Anyways, Good day to you too.

Point taken. But I merely wanted to say that not all old machines are bad and not all new machines are good, as He-man was alluding to.
