Only 11 votes were in opposition to GST bill compared to around 360 in favour. Going by that It won't be a trouble to get it passed in Rajyasabha. Also govt has been able to get opposition on board for GST bill with almost all opposition parties supporting it.

the problem is that politicians in india have this ego war with modi , they don't want to soften up with him on any issue and have grudge against him after what he did with their political career in LS elections.

Most likely this will pass Rajya Sabha this time.

Rajya Sabha elections are in a couple of years. Most likely BJP will be in majority. Then Modi will be the owner of both houses. He will be the Ultimate superman of Indian politics. If Modi gets reelected, he will change Indian for the good.

a re-election in 2019 is the most important thing now , once that done then nothing can stop him because he will have complete majority in both the houses. Generally when you implement an economic reform the actual impact of it can be seen only after 2 years , this is what happened with vajpayee , he did many good things on the economic front but the credit went to congies because when the impact of his policies began to show up he was not in power and our voters were not smart enough to understand that.

That was a calculated move I would say.
It was the UPAthat introduced GST then opposition including BJP blocked it.Now it is passed in LS.
Congress would face tough time in RS if they try to play with nations development for petty politics.
I think TMC and BJD will support this in RS.There is some genuine reason.
CBI is now at the hands of Modi.
Reckless move of Mamata will invite trouble from centre .So she will support tgis and she is the beneficiary in here.

The entire opposition is ganging up on Modi. I am scared things might not go Modi way.

Why else do you think TMC is forefront is supporting most legislations in RS ,hell they are even attacking RaGa despite the 'united opposition' farce
