But when it comes to China, why don't you do the same?

Simple for the fact that you guys intrude in the disputed territory and have no provision to fire at you while the other two intrude in a non disputed land and get fired from our Armed Forces.

This is not new. Intrusions were happening at the rate of 300-350 per year all these years.

What is new is that for the first time an intrusion has turned into a Faceoff of this dimension.

This is because the Indian government has responded so firmly.

With winter approaching in another 2 weeks it might be difficult for the Chinese to sustain their stay or at least it will be very inconvenient. The resolve of India has been demonstrated.

Now it is for the Chinese to do their arithmetic. And this time the numbers will not be as magical as their economy.

In the final analysis, one hopes that the entire summit and its parallel developments have been a miscalculation by the Chinese borne out of their past experience with India.

They are sharp and can be trusted to read the tea leaves with high degree of accuracy. And Prime Minister Modi is known to brew tea leaves into some of the most unbeatable concoctions you can find.

more than 24 hours, indian troops are not allowing chinese to construct road at chumar, elsewhere, chinese were given warning that if they don't leave, they will be arrested under indian laws. now tell me how long the chinese troops in chumar will sit without shelter? either they will have to start building roads which they can't do now or will have to leave because they are encircled and in disadvantageous position. meanwhile, roads and bridges are build built on war footing, air force getting prepared for large scale conflicts and winter is coming.

I have one inquisitive. Chinese must be recognising our soldiers as some are black, some are white, some are turbaned, some are with/without beard/mustache. But how can we recognise that they are same soldiers? They must be sending new ones every time and we are saying the same soldiers returned. Very difficult to recognise them. .......

Same could be asked of China? If you seriously believe that you are so much stronger and braver than India then why hasn't your country taken the area which it claims, by force? What are you waiting for? Truth is neither India nor China can bear the cost of a war at this stage. Heck even US can't attack countries bigger than Iraq.

But, overall, all this act is so dumb of China. It is forcing India to join hands with the other neighbors of China whom it regularly bullies including Japan, Vietnam, etc. I seriously don't understand what China expects to gain out of this stupid act. India along with China & US is going to be the largest economies of this world because of their sheer size and no one can stop this So, its in everyone's interest that we continue to live peacefully.

As far as your pointing out of the poverty in India is concerned, you have to realize that inherently a democracy has slower progress rates because it does take everyone's view into account. So, the benefits may take longer to fruit but it is insured that they will. I would never trade my personal freedom for any other right.

india has numerical advantage, india has unending supply of troops, the govt's decision not to curb births of male children has given this advantage whereas in china, the supply of troops will be limited for many reasons which you know. india can hire men to fight china on the basis of less than $ 80 per month salary, many are unemployed and hungry, they will be ready to go to the front for that much amount of money. china can't do that, they have limited supply of human resources.
