I've been told to many illusioned members here this time Taliban are going to rule every inch of afghanistan unlike in the past. They will go into NA like a hot knife goes in butter.

Hence the need to encircle the panjshir valley until an agreement can be reach or failing that, a blockade is needed to bring them to their senses.

Taliban should build a consensus, do what the US and Northern Alliance refused/failed to do. Now is not the time to get overconfident, Afghanistan needs a consensus for peace, call a Loya Jirga, invite everyone, including your enemies.

But the American acceptance would prod dozens of other countries to accept the Taliban and that will open investment and trade options.

Taliban should MODERATE even to the (low) levels of Saudi Arabia! It is for their own good and for the good of Afghanistan. Nobody is asking them to have a Las Vegas in Kabul! Look at several other Muslim countries which are also quite conservative but are allow some social freedoms. At this point, looking at the statements from America, an acceptance is likely IF/WHEN the Taliban only moderate!!! Heck, even the requirement of 'not taking Kabul by force' is being waived!!
