BREAKING: Hezbollah says it stands in support of Pakistan and Kashmir’s right to self determination

Now having said this I think we in individual capacity (unofficially) should acknowledge this statement

That's just signaling for some where else... Pakistan must not respond at all imo, even unofficially. Attaching Kashmir cause/ struggle to organizations like taliban, isis had been india's goal since it's an easy sell for western audience. They've already cashed the mantra of terrorijm post 9/11 quite much vis a vis kashmir. Attaching/owning hizbula's support to Kashmir cause is the last thing Pakistan needs.

By Unofficially I mean someone outside government but with some social or political clouts, someone from any political party or religious party, here we need to understand that we are not the one asking support from Hizb Ul Allah but we are only standing on our principal stand for Kashmir IF some organization is extending it political support it does not mean we are firming an alliance with them we could just acknowledge their understanding of our Lawful stand of Peaceful resolution of dispute (here recall the wording of the issued statement)

Srinagar: Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem has extended his support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir demanding the right to self-determination.

“Yes, we support Kashmir and Kashmiris who are fighting for their right to self determination, because it is only this that will achieve a legal and political solution,” Qassem said.

Besides this, Qassem also reiterated his loyalty to Pakistan for their assistance to the Palestinian cause.

“I want to tell you that we have seen Pakistan closely, and seen them supporting the Palestinian cause in total. It is this that has convinced us in letter and spirit,” he said.

Qassim made these comments, while speaking on the 32nd death anniversary of Arif Hussain Al Hussaini.

In the video shared on social media, Qassem can be heard saying that, Hezbollah stands with the people of Pakistan and will support them.

Hassan Nasrallah is the current Secretary General of Hezbollah since his predecessor, Abbas al-Musawi, was assassinated by the Israel Defense Forces in February 1992.
Good, if true.

It's an ultimate insult to be endorsed by a terrorist group but I guess some "Zainebiyoun types" here are overjoyed.
Meanwhile GCC gives Modi medals.

You are right though that having a designated terrorist group support Pakistan is meaningless and even damaging. However, this group still forms part of the Lebanese government and is legitimised in that regard at least, similar to Sinn Fein being legitimised in Ireland as the supposed political arm of the IRA (though this link is not unequivocally made by Sinn Fein).

Still, it seems to be a meaningless statement. Good for trolling Indians but nothing more.

The harsh truth is Pakistan has NO allies in this theatre. Turkey and China are our only friends and those are the partnerships we will nurture officially.

Everything else is just great for trolling Indians and getting their knickers in a twist - hopefully they'll boycott Lebanon now or something dumb like that.

Agreed.

Hezbollah isn’t expecting any reciprocity in any case. They are anti-Israel and pro-Palestine and we check both boxes for them as is.

They didn’t take too long in assuring support for Pakistan right after shah mehmood qureshi announced Pakistan’s policy shift live on tv. It will be interesting to see if raheel sharif even stays in Saudi Arabia. He was at the Lahore HQ meeting with serving and retired generals. There’s no doubt they discussed this.

Ideally Pakistan would want good relations with Saudi as well as Iran, but Saudi cant give modi awards, and also tell us not to have good relations with Iran.
