This is why having a working justice system is important. Once people start to believe they wouldn't get justice from the state, they will start taking things in their own hands.

Right...one more thing is there is a lot of disparity between rich and poor in pakistan...although it is present even in india to some extent the elites in pak lead altogether a different life style with different culture.
This disparity, this inequality in terms off wealth, education , culture is what leads to such anarchism...on top of that this bahria town is built by snatching poor peoples lands with force ..these ultra rich have the backing of the govt...there is nowhere to go for these helpless poor..this is how they vent out their anger.

I think the matter went to court and everything but the perception is that Malik Riaz is too rich and too powerful to actually defeat through the legal system. (My guess).

This looks like a last resort sort of thing. Actually attacking will bring public attention to the cause as well as depreciate the property value and brand value of Bahria Town. Probably the only way these people could hit back at Bahria Town the brand.

The poor living without basic necessities, while the rich enjoy their little defense bubbles throughout the country. It had to happen, the whole nation is in a pressure cooker now, high inflation, electricity outage(in Karachi), zero crime control(mobile snatching etc), rape being quite common(with lowest amount of conviction rate). It's only so much a common person can take.

Serious steps need to be taken and no shunning out the poor, torturing them or putting them in jails will only make it worse. Extract the money out of looters and land grabber, whether it be khokhars or Malik Riaz and spend it on peoples welfare. Provide them the basic necessities, clean water, electricity, basic housing with toilet etc.

Not that I am condoning the actions of this people, but we have been hypocritic ourselves too. Whenever some one asks for a real state investment/advice, people here give recommendation to buy in Bahria town, knowing full well that the owner of the society is a known land grabber, who puts wheel under the files. You/We lot have been funding that crook Malik Riaz and his greed with our money, now people here suddenly have surprise Pikachu faces? Like this was bound to happen, they can't get to Malik Riaz, the guy is too powerful, they could only reach to what that land grabber has built.
