nah, they said 3 tons and 21 tons of tnt respectively right? Halifax explosion and Texas city disaster were 2900 and 2700-3200 tons of tnt respectively.

Perhaps they meant largest non nuclear explosion in China?

For comparison, hiroshima was the equivalent of 15,000 tons of tnt.

7000-70000 (!!!) casualties is impossible, coz that's the cargo berth of TianJin seaport and explored at night 2:00am ... the official news reported 4,00~600 casualites but i think such big explosion maybe 400~1,000 casualties.

Apparently the facility only suffered minor damage, computer was shutdown for safety reasons. Also power is apparently shut down to the area for the moment?
