That does not mean anything. Countries can be part of different groupings. It does not mean any grouping would suffer. Some of the countries in BIMSTEC are ASEAN member. So BIMSTEC has very limited future. It can be more of a connectivity grouping for trades.
The recent issues with SAARC has created some new questions about the organization's usefulness as well as the possibility of BIMSTEC replacing it.
However Pakistan is currently not a member despute being a significant nation in the region

Regional Cooperation for Development (RCD) was a multi-governmental organization which
was originally established in 1964 by Iran, Pakistan and Turkey to allow socio-economic development of the member states. In 1979, this
organization was dissolved. It was replaced by Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in 1985. Seven new members were added Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan.
ECO can easily replace saarc for Pakistan if we try hard to make possible its summit happen every year, moreover, we can have bilateral free trade agreement with freindly countries within saarc,
offcourse bharat can cry for isolation of Pakistan..

I did not say you cant not join any grouping but it is very hard to maintain inside multiple economic block with FTA.That does not mean anything. Countries can be part of different groupings. It does not mean any grouping would suffer.
India itself is part of SCO as well, does not mean we are not trying our level best in SAARC and now in future BIMSTEC.

Mere Rhetoric, Pakistan cannot be isolated in any context, Not by the US not by the regional countries certainly not by India either, It's not some country middle of no where but a very strategic nation with a massive population and resources
Except for Bangladesh and Bhutan has anyone else made any direct mention of isolating or taking sides on this current conflict against Pakistan ? I dont think so, If i'm wrong can anybody provide a credible source not manipulative sensationalist Indian media BS stories pls.. Even Nepal has not made any reference to Pakistan on it's official media release on the causes of the postponement of the SAARC summit
Listen, the only reason why Pakistan is important is because of Afghanistan. That's where the North South Corridor between Russia-India-Iran comes into play.
I agree.
In fact in the long run, BIMSTEC can become the launching base of a strong economic cohesion between ASEAN and the countries of the subcontinent.
None of the members in this grouping have ideological issues
None of them are hostile to each other.
All are rich in natural resources and many of them are opening up to globalisation like Myanmar which can be of a major benefit for all the people here.

Indeed you have good ties with them and that is your choice as a free country. But you certainly agree that terrorism cannot be a state policy.
Indians have no problem with Pakistanis. We only have issues with the elements that create, nurture and foment terrorism and kill our people just for a historic obsession.

SAARC should move to kick out pakistan.
That means you're underestimating them or overestimating India, Which is more damaging to you than them
Most countries with democratic governments want to go on with the business of improving their people's living conditions. there is no point dealing with states that have no interest
