My dear countrymen,
1 Billion Tree Tsunami was a challenge, but Allah blessed us with success as it became a National cause bigger than individuals and political parties. After achieving that success, it was just logical to target 10 Billion Trees which we’re marching toward Alhamdolillah.
Like a goal as big, I’m starting a prayer that may Allah enable us to donate 1 Billion Kilos of Wheat to the poor in Pakistan. It started with a humble donation of a few hundred kilos in November 2020, and as Allah runs His causes Himself, with a team of 2 (including myself and a young Pakistani in Faisalabad), we have been able to donate 16,000 Kilos (16 tons) of wheat, with an ambitious target of donating 1,000,000,000 Kilos of Wheat to the ones in need.
We find the poorest of the poor; people who could not run their kitchen because of disability, disease or age and donate them either wheat or flour. All donations are documented (photographed or videoed) protecting the personal identity and self-respect of the recipients.
At its core, the donation idea is simple. Whoever donates wheat to the poor and needy, should be able to record it online with photographic evidence using Billionkilos.com website (under construction). As a Nation, we already donate Billions of rupees every year, and through this website we will be able to record those donations, counting them towards Billion Kilos whenever we could achieve. InShaAllah!
Our team doesn't have experience in running donation campaigns and thus there are natural gaps. I'm currently in the process of finding consultants who could help us register this organisation, so we could be able to receive donations in the bank, and online. In this regard, if you can be of any help, please step in. Your contribution in establishing this organisation will become Sadqa-e-Jariya InShaAllah.
