We have Sukhoi 30 for that...

1.Tejas was never meant for escort it was always for POINT DEFNCE & Internal VIGIL & Close Air Sipport for ground troops in indian terriotorry and it has ample load carrying capacity and hard points for that 7 weapons stations plus on POD station and one Gun Station and 3.5-3.8 T weapons carrying capacity plus internal fuel

2. Tejas can easily confuse and partilly confuse most of surrent fighters in owr enemies kity (with pulse doppler & older gen radars & non AESA radars) it also have 99% of its skin and 45 % of its body made in carbon composties which is very hard for radar radiations to detect and its due to its small & compact suize even in non RAM coatings 1/3rd of RCS value as that of Mirage 2000 in clean configuration

so please instead of boasting about numbers of JF17 think of numbers of Bisons , jaguars and MKI's & Mig29s in IAF

no israeli but israeli is selling it us and we are getting all products of ELTA themn be it fighter jet nose cone mounted radar (EL2032 or EL 2052) or AWACS EL2092 we have all and even there Jamming PODS and land based radars or aerostats raradrs or range of field radars wich are considrred as good if not better as those of US ARMY or ISAF

pakistan has zero capability to send its aircraft to India. The tech. gap has widening so much in last two decades pakistan will be hard pressed to keep all its strategic air force assets hidden in sm friendly countries.

Even Jaguars are being uograded with AESAs more advanced than anything chinese are deploying.

Monsters like Super Sukhois will eat up whole paf in matter of days.
