Interesting article. How much do average programmer make in these companies do you know? How much does an IT / network administrator, a Manager and a Director makes? Trying to see how big of a difference it is compared to India. NetSols reached out to us a few months ago asking for some software support work. The girl I met was hot, and she was from Lahore. We refused as we have a contract with IBM and use their offshore labor in Bangalore. But who knows, if she comes back again, I might change my mind

The starting pay for a programmer well atleast developing android and ios apps has a starting salary of 35-40 k Rs in Isb/Rwp which ofcourse gets increased as his performence improves but my friend who works as a project manager in a software house in Pindi told me brain drain is a big issue in this field many companies and individuals are relocating themselves to Dubai and East Asia

Total IT related export of pakistan is around Rs 0.8 million pakistani rupees. But they are deemed to be amongst top 5 IT enabled services provider, software exporter and related services by 2050, also then they will make into the top 20 economies of the world propelled by CPEC and other projects attracting huge FDI.

2050 is too far out in the future. You can expect to be in the top 15 economies in the next 5-7 years. It would take you guys about 15 years to get to the top 11th (beating Australia). Totally possible and not that difficult to do if the country stays on the growth path and political stability isn't screwed over by a few idiots.

Imagine how Pakistan will look like when it beats Australia economically? Half the country will be developed brand new and master planned (all areas around the CPEC). All modern and new architecture compared to older big cities like NY, London, Sydney, etc, etc. Real growth opportunities to build millions and millions of new Pakistani millionaires are coming to your town starting 2018 in an area close to a new highway near you, across Pakistan .
