Can someone suggest me some good DVD ripper software ? Free or paid software but good one in term of speed and quality of audio/video. I want to rip few DVD(4GB size) into .AVI(divx) and MP4(700MB) formats?

I have seen that some DVD/Blu ray ripped movies which you download from torrent have size only 700 MB but have almost same quality picture as that of original DVD. I don't know which ripping software they use. I have tried few DVD ripping sofware(dvd fab,clone2go,winX dvd ripper etc) but cannot get good result

Thanks in Advance

well its not only about which software you use ,you have to use correct parameters to encode and it only comes after various trys , I advice you to visit some good blogs on encoding, but to be Frank it will be lot easier for you just to download movies of net as encoding can take a lot of time if you do not have good hardware.

^ Well i have got some wedding movie in four DVDs discs and i want to convert them in minimum size by maintaining the quality as much as possible .. another advantage is storage ..if its 700 mb size you can store it on Sd card and can watch it on tablet/phone

My experience.

1. Format Factory :
-The best I have
-Free
-File size reduction is significant without compromising on quality
-Also imbed subtitles by naming the srt file same as that of the media file.
-Comparatively less load on ur processor

2. Avidemux
-Free
-A bit complicated
-I use it for splitting videos...the best splitter
-Haven't yet tried for ripping though

Use Format Factory, do trial and error , its easy to use.

My suggestion is that instead of handbrake use vidcoder it use the same engine but have a lot more feature and is more convenient

But my favorites are megui and hybrid which using bunch of freeware to do the work.

And you can download all three software from "videohelp" site.

For achieving low size with good quality I suggest use x264 for video encoder and AAC for audio encoder.
