Zubair Mahmood Hayat and Dmitry Korchik at MTZ

MINSK, 18 December (BelTA) – Belarus is set to increase machinery supplies to Pakistan, including by means of expanding the assortment range of export commodities, Belarus Deputy Industry Minister Dmitry Korchik told reporters on 18 December, BelTA has learned.

“We are to leave for Pakistan soon to discuss a possibility to increase machinery exports and the assortment of supplies to Pakistan,”
he noted. Dmitry Korchik said that Belarusian machinery has tremendous sales potential and has aroused interest in Pakistani counterparts. “Apart from that, we want to take part in technical upgrade programs in Pakistan. I think this will also be of interest to our partners,” Dmitry Korchik noted.

As of today, Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) is Belarus' major machinery exporter to Pakistan. MTZ has been operating on the Pakistani market for over 50 years already. Apart from expanding the assortment range of export commodities, the company is determined to promote assembly manufacturing and increase the localization level.

This harvester has been successfully tested this year. “We are also supplying our agricultural trailers and are looking for potential partners to assemble road construction machinery,” Dmitry Korchik informed.

This is sad...It is like in 50 yrs we didnt even learn how to make our own ingenious machinery?!

People when you apply as an engineer, graduate and then do nothing; innovate nothing....why study engineering?

My thoughts exactly I was shocked at the 50 yrs of imports!

It is worse than sheep mentality...More like dead!

We are worse than consumers! The lifestyle we have is too "easy"...Cant find something, just buy it!

Even in AMERICA they have DIY and to some extent use their brains a bit to fix few pieces to form something!

In Pakistan you just get a poor mazdoor!

Product of rattafication!

Education in Pakistan is a business. Colleges, Universities, buss bachoon ko ch___ bnatay hain, iss k illawa kuch nahi. bachay kush rhehtay hain kiyon k uni me chill mahool aur eyashiyaan hoti hain. Parents khush rehtay hain k bachay ko in the end degree mill jye gi. Uni fee's go 70,000 per semester and upwards.

Electrical/Electronics, mechanical, aeronautical engineering, all these require expensive parts. Since we don't produce any of the basic parts, we can't produce latest high level equipment. In western countries most of the kids don't have any financial pressure. You can see a 10 or 13 y.o western kid playing with raspberry pie, where he loves to learn stuff, makes mistakes and learn from those. While here in Pakistan, even in universities instruments are kept in safe space behind shelves, so they don't get damaged, or under strict control. So majority of people coming out of the institutions are shit, they only got the degree because they passed some exams with 'rata' and did the final project of a robot who could follow a line and do two hand motions(just an example). And that I am only talking about the one's with real degree's and not the fake one's.

There is reason why so many people were defending that 'pani se chalnay wali gari' guy from 2011(if I remember right) and that included, some engineers too.

The only reasonable education here is computer science, where you learn computer languages and graphics design, because those thing don't get effected that much by hardware, sure your code gets compiled quicker or your images gets processed quicker by latest hardware. A person who learnt C, could easily learn to code in java, python so on. A person who learnt to use blender could easily learn adobe or whatever.

Recently saw a video showing a Pakistani student made some helmet that warned about some thing. The stupidity in that video was just laughable. wow you programmed a chip and put it inside a helmet 'such big deal wow' /s.

Yea I know this...1 of my relative was doing his PhD and the lab had acquired an instrument and it was kept in packing coz they couldnt afford a technician to come set it up...By the time they did bother, the instrument was ancient and world had move on to a v6 of the instrument that did much more than rot in a box

We will continue to import till the deals are in the hands of these big people. We can manufacture better than them, but who will pay the kickbacks then.
